It makes no sense.
"Just once, I'd like to destroy a starship that we didn't pay for!"
"Welcome to the jolly old death star."
"Vader gets the plesure of killing someone while we get to stay among the living. Private Perkins overhere has been stranged over 30 times haven't you Perkins." "Good man."

I believe he's saying that it should have octuple turboion cannons as well as its standard octuple turbolasers.

Actually, we do have good sources. It's in ROTJ (the Falcon skims past one), and has been canonized in the ROTS cross-section. Much of the mod is based on supposition, so PR decided to include it as a heavy Star Destroyer.

Well, if you want to mod it out, just make them buildable with space station lvl 6 or use command you can find in infamous 'how to get rid of artillery' thred :xd:. But I'd rather advice you to use Zarkis's AI mod, it makes game more balanced and AI produces what it should :)

While we do have canon sources for its existence, i dont think there are any detailed stats for it (which is what i think Freestalker is saying)?

True, but same can be said about Bulwark. Contradicting sources (Rebellion gives it armament matching SSD, while other sources claim it's very heavy capship)... So for gameplays sake, if Phoenix allows Bulwarks, he can create some Tectors as well.

Good point there. I would add that in both cases it fulfilled an important role (Tector is heavy anti-capital, Bulwark is best dreadnaught). Phoenix didn't just add them for fun, he added them for good reasons. The same goes for the Reef Home, in fact.

What exactly IS its role? It has the nice cluster bombs, and some rockets, but otherwise, is it just for a change from the Liberty class?

It seems to be quite good against frigates and cruisers, etc. But without the fighters and bombers, it's extremely vulnerable to dreadnoughts and enemy bombers. I generally find that upgraded ISDs fill that role better, actually...

<DevXen> Today I was at the store and saw a Darth Vader action figure that said "Choking Hazard." It was great.

I think it's a heavier version of the Liberty, judging from it's stats, better anti-capital, but weak against fighters.

Oops. I shouldn't be posting at 4AM I guess. I have no idea about the Reef Home class...

But not that bad against fighters too. The cluster bombs are quite good against them.

With a cheaper cost? There must be some offset somewhere, besides size.

It has no fighters. Other then that, and stronger hull/shields it is the same.
