Hey mike_, I was wondering if the history of the folk of Eorl was to be included in the mod. After all, their history is interesting, rather detailed (for the appendices) and relevant to Gondor. :p

Yep, Rangah. I'm hoping for this to be less of a skirmish-based mod and more of a campaign one. Fighting your way from the days of the Alliance, to the Kin-strife, border-war with the Easterlings, etc. The history of the House of Eorl (Fram's slaying of Scatha the Worm, their feud with the Dwarves (Dourhands? :p), death of Leod, ride of Borondir, Oath of Eorl, et all) will definitely be represented.

On a side note, eeh-gads, I've been noticed! Best get some work pumping :p

Oh excellent, I've always wanted a mod that focused on an amazing campaign. With Rohan, don't forget about Helm and the big events of his reign. Folca's orc purge would also make an excellent series of missions.

Yeah. I'd love to have a siege of Framsburg (correct name?), which may have occurred when Eorl and his Host rode to war at the Field of Celebrant. But, I dunno what will and won't happen :p

A siege of Framsburg (yes it's correct) is against the lore, young man! You cannot presume to break Tolkien's wishes! :p A battle of Celebrant mission would be fun, though... :p

I don't know a lot about Eorl the Young or the history of Rohan or Gondor, but I have a theory about Framsburg. Don't know a lot aout that either, but still. What do you think of this; Framsburg = Bree?

No, Framsburg was in the junction of the Misty and Grey mountains. Nowhere near Bree. :p

I told you! I don't know a thing about that part history of Middle-Earth. So Framsburg was east of the Misty Mountains, south of the Grey Mountains and a bit west of Mirkwood?

I have Unfinished Tales, which includes the story of Cirion and Eorl. I can look at that for additional information, if it is needed.

I fail to see how the adjective "sexy" can apply to mod concepts. :shiftee:

This is the Gondorian Masonry; here you'll be able to buy upgrades for your camps' defenses; turf earthworks (which can be upgraded with stone foundations to be made walkable, and then ramparts for passive missile defense), etc.

Ideas are welcome :p

If the mounds are supposed to look like piles of rocks, then they don't. Other than that, looks good. :p

That's representing the carved stones, piles of rocks, etc. from the Stoneworker (horrible name..) model. Best I could find were those mounds :p

SotW, that's not where I got the name (I've read the comic, yeah) but I got the topic name from Monty Python (which is where that came from) ;)
