Hello, I haven't been able to figure out how to change the version number that is displayed when you enter the options screen. I've looked for it in the various .big files but was unsuccessful. How do I change them? And is it the same for Generals and Zero Hour?

Pretty good question there.
I'd say it's referenced to in game.dat since they've updated it for every patch. Probably is in hexadecimal format ...

I'm sure Deezire changed it in his mod...
I found this in his lotr.str
whereas the vanilla game says
Me > Ched
I found this in his lotr.str
version:format2 "Extended Edition Version %d.%02d" END version:format3 "Version %d.%02d.%d" END version:format4 "%d.%02d.%d Build %d %c%c" END
whereas the vanilla game says
Version:Format2 "Version %d.%02d" END Version:BuildTime "%ls %ls" END Version:BuildMachine "Build machine: %ls" END

Nice find m@tt, but the actual version number is still stored in game.dat
Though you could hard reference to it in lotr.str ... I guess so at least.
