Battle For Arnor, by Grizzlez and Puppeteer

2 vs AI defender

To see our early ideas visit the old topic http://ip-clan.com/F...p?showtopic=199

A few pictures of the map to get people really interested. This is early screenshots of defenders so far and there is plenty more to show later on.

Puppet makes an amazing fort, and all you think is good is the water?

Looks great to me - though I can't tell much about the fortress from the provided screens.
Off-Topic: You seem really antsy lately, Griz. Why is that - if I may ask?
EDIT: For the sake of not making a trivial post, "lycan", I mean "ansty" as in impatient with new board members, overreacting to comments, etc.
Cheers,
-mike

Re-reading the previous posts from you guys I realised you guys wanted some more views on the fortress. So double post aside, here's a couple more screens. When Puppet finishes the other side of the map, i'll be able to get some screenies of the evil faction for you guys and then we can consider a trailer.

Absolutely gorgeous work on that fortress. Is it supposed to represent one of the Arnorian cities, or is it just a Dunedain stronghold?

Well i'm not a big lore expert, and neither is Puppet I don't think. But this is just a fortress I thought up that I thought would suit the type of map we are going for. As we are just making an online map, we have to try to make all of our 'new' units based off old ones and edit around them which is why its not always so easy. When we have more screens of the evil faction, you will see the full extent of map.ini coding as i'vekept the AI defenders ini size relatively low for easier map transfer.

Will the AI work for the attackers as well (I love to defend)? Also, great work regardless.

This version won't, in order to make the map run smoothly we would need two versions and two ini files, especially as defenders won't have any powers and will just act as very strong soldiers with leaderships. We may consider a different version afterwards, especially as there is less work involved if the map is completed, but nothing decided upon.

Small update, map texturing is finished and here are some of the good units; my computer can't take Ultra-High so I entrust Grizzlez to do all the evil ones (and they're awesome!)

It's impossible, we haven't added our own models to the map. They're existing models, and Grizzlez has reskinned them with existing skins.
