I was wondering what tools the SEE team uses to mod BFME II. I played the mod and loved it, but it made me want to figure out how to create my own mod for BFME II. One question in particular though is what program and exporter do you use to get your models into the .w3d file type for BFME II to see. I tried out the exporter built into 3DS Max 2008 but it doesn't seem to work. All it does it make the model for the unit/building invisible for some reason. Still, any help in general for modding BFME II would be great and I love the team's mod.

All stuff about models can be found on the T3A site (http://www.the3rdage.net). Dunno about Max, but a lot of people use Gmax/Renx which definetely works with w3ds provided you install the plugins.

Basic modding would be to use a program called "FinalBig" to open the .big file.

G'day wolvman

I use max 2009 myself but have not dived into the games side of develpment. I stick to movies and animations. From what I have heard their shouldn't be any problem using max 2008. The only difference between max 2008 and G max is that max 2008 has more features. But you will need the renx program to get them out of the game and into max. I'm not sure if renx is compatible with max 2008 yet but I'm sure you'll find out :D

G'day kal

Good to see ya mate :p

Hey guys i have a question: i would like to change some things in the SEE-mod, for example:

the health that heroes get for every lvl
or the experience which is required for lvl 2 for example
there's always only written for example Gandalf Experince required lvl2 : Gandalf_experience_required_lvl2
but i need the numbers

all this numbers were at the normal game in the: gamedata ini
but in the SEE-ini's i'm not able to find them
i hope you can help me

your mod is the best of the world :D
and i promise i will only overmod some litte things for myself
