Awesome, yes; implementable, who knows? My guess at this point for the factions would be: Good Heroes eventually die after getting it for a while and Mordor would simply return it to the Fortress. But what about the other Evil Factions? Isengard's Saruman I guess would endure the corruption, and I think that the other heroes would return it I guess. Goblins I guess would be too dumb to wear it? MOTEs' Nazguls is self explanatory, but what about the Mahud Chieftain and Lorgan? Evil they may be, but they're still men after all.

The dragon heros for Goblins would definitely seize the Ring and try to use it. That's what they did, and since dragons were cunning and powerful, they'd undoubtedly have success.

I think the dragon would just keep it hidden with the rest of whatever treasure it has and never use it, just protect, similar to what Smog did with his stash.

Interesting, the problem imo is that Drogoth is strictly flying, so that will pose a problem I believe.

Yes, only heroes can. Aragorn and Gandalf currently are implemented with the new ring system so to speak. Use them to pick it up and you'll see their stance buttons change for wielding it. The corruption kicks in for them in time, but all their powers are available briefly.

I like the new Ring system. The idea is a brilliant one. But, I admit I'm not familiar with what benefits a hero gains by wielding the Ring, especially if they are good. Could someone enlighten me on What the plan is for the future of this feature?

So, Gandalf and Aragorn can wield it and their stance buttons change, but if they can't do something worth the cost of corruption, I'm not sure I would want them to wield it. If it just makes all of their powers available, then what about a level 10 hero? Is the Ring just meaningless to them?

Could someone help me understand this, please?

the plan is to give them new powers when they put the ring on; better powers. we just havnt gotten that far with the system yet. it will take some time to do it all, especially since it will probably get back-burnered until the factions are finished.

This system will be awesome when fully implemented. Imagine how it could make every hero a ring hero! Saruman or Gandalf or Pippin or Sam or Theoden or Eowyn or Romestamo or Morinhetar(sp?). It would be truly epic. When they get the ring, i think they shouldn't be corrupted so soon. Perhaps right after they use their best power the corruption could kick in, but very slowly. They die too fast in the game atm.

Ok I'll try some powers.

Dwarven:
- Earth Rising - 3 earth golems rise out of the ground o do your biding. Each one has a selection of powers, eg. Earhshaker, bombard, ect.
- Collapse - Ripple of damage spreads outwards from the hero, causeing meta damage to buildings and tossing enemies into air. Kinda like the Custom Dwarfs/Troll Earthshaker
- Fortified - Summons a fortress anywhere on map.

Elven:
- Natures Call - sends a wave of Vines/trees/naturey stuff out in a wave from the enemy kinda like word of power. Also would summon ents to attack your enemy with.
- Hidden Allies - Summons 3 battlions of archers in every forest on map. (WOuld introduce the idea that certain heros are better in certain areas)
- Breaking Dawn - All evil enemies are stunned, and take fire damage over time.

Goblins:
- Allies of the Deep - Calls forth Balrog, Watcher, Ect. to fight under your control.
- Dragons Call (Drogoth) - Summons forth dragons to do your bidding.
- Numberless Resources - Around the hero goblins begin spewing out of the ground, lots and lots of goblins.

Mordor:
- Numberless Resources - Same as goblins except orcs begin spewing out.
- Fires of Modor - Fireballs launch from the hero in all directions

Isenguard:
- Lightning Wielder - An aura of lightning encompases an area around the hero that damgaes all that enter it
- Alliance Forging - Converts the alegiance of a large (Really Big like WoP size) of enemies to your side

Angmar:
- Snow Tundra - Calls forth a blizard thats like sandstorm
- Wilds of tthe North - Summons a Winter Wolf and some battlions of Dire wolves to fight for you

Men Of the East:
- Illusion Mastery - summons some illusions onto the map, also all illusions are able to deal damage.
- Graveyard Calling - Summons forth LOTS of skeletons under your control.
- The Big One - Summons 5 Mumikil onto the field.

Thats it for now I might add more later.

Hmmmm... the Ithryn Luin "Rock Formation" power would work well as an earth golem.

"The Big One" isn't much of a name, though. :)

Yeah I know the big one isn't much of a name but I couldn't come up with anything better at the time. How about The Eastern Beast Call, and along with the mumakil it could sommon some other "eastern" animals. Scorpions and Vipers come to mind.

Also I have only had the mod a couple days now so what/who is Ithryn Luin.

The "Blue Wizards," Alatar and Pallando (Morinehtar and Romestamo in the mod). *I'd forgotten that not everyone had as much Lore knowledge as me, AA, and mike...*

i dont know if its been suggested as of yet, but for some i was thinking...

legolas - name undecided - fires an arrow of light into the sky, which stuns enemies around legolas, then a large volley falls from the sky while legolas uses a stronger version of explosive "arrow wind".

lurtz/ugluk if he's in - name undecided - first, lurtz signals an ambush, which summons 2 battalins of specialist crossbowmen, which send a volley of arrows that cripple the enemies targetted (then they fade away). secondly, lurtz summons 2 mines within the crippled enemies, and fires an explosive arrow into the middle, exploding the enemy ranks.

treebeard - release the river - (not strictly true but...) treebeard beckons the ground beneath him to flood. the water which rises deals damage over time(representing drowning), and puts out ents on fire.

arwen - loudwater cascade - arwen causes the battlefield to rain, whereupon the water builds up behind her for a few seconds. after this time, the water is released in a large flood (WoP style) which heavily damages all enemies.

didnt read through the pages, so if any of these came up, sorry. also, if they are too hard to make, sorry again :p

Will it be posible for a hero to give the ring to another hero (before it's used)?

I think it should be optionable, because I like the ring system for evil at the moment. My idea for good teams was that their hobbit had to pass with the ring, to the enemy's fortress (if they don't have one ur screwed :)) then, if they got there, they would destroy the enemy team. The ring would then be uplayable. I also liked the idea from SEE's ringbearer/ringstealer gollum, that looks neat.

highly unlikely that it will become optional, might not even be possible.
