I mean seriously, they're making a LIVE-ACTION (machinima I could sort of half understand) movie of the Sims.

Christ. And I thought the AVP movie was bad....

There's funding for it, and nothing else. There's also a Far Cry, BloodRayne 3 and World of Warcraft on the way. I'll have to dig out the Edge article (it was a while back). You'll be amazed at some of the shit lined up...

Far Cry, Bloodrayne and Metal Gear have plots, even if they're weak (let's face it, some of the MG games have had rather meagre storylines). It's possible, however inadvisable, to make a movie of them.

The Sims HAS no fucking plot - that's the whole POINT.

Although I read the IMDB brief. It sounds like a complete rehash of the Truman Show, if that is indeed the plotline they're running with and not some member taking the piss.

Apprently the plot is that The Sims find out they are living in a computor game.
I'm sorry? Jesus fucking christ, it's going to be dire. i would rather sit through AVP1 10 times than watch this sack of wank, although AVP1 has to be one of the worst creations in the whole of man kind. At least in AVP there is a bit of blood shed to liven things up... I mean you can't go far wrong with aliens bursting out of peoples stomachs or seeing people getting sliced by Predators... but somehow the director of that movie managed to make such a cool film completely shite.

Far Cry and BloodRayne can both be summarised in a sentence. Especially Far Cry. Sadly, Far Cry is apparently being kept "true to the game". Great..

Such an amazing concept. Could of been a master piece and made awsome. Turned out to be a shocker, overall. Some of the fight scenes were good, but the restwas crap.

We always have sequels to films like that to look forward to.

Now, I saw "Ironman" recently, and my god that was a masterpiece of a film. it really was sensational. I look forward to sequels of that.

But I really think that game concepts, that origionally started out in video games should not come out in cinema... theres just too much room for error and dis-approval... nothing really origional can come out of it.

The concept to Jumpers seemed pretty flawed from the start to me. I wasn't surprised the film wasn't particularly good.

Well they could of made it spectacualr... the fight scenes were alright, but there was no way near enough of them. It just needed loads of fight scenes. Samual L Jackson boosted the move though, with out him it would of been shit.
