I wasn't the one who brang it off topic in the first place.

Maybe not, but you're the one who kept it going. You're the only reason this thread has dragged on for so long.

And how exactly is that a crime?

taking away the seriousness made the game 100 times better

i dont even want to play RA1, RA2 is just so much better and more fun

hopefully it will continue that way with RA3

its obvious you are an EA hater, the way you keep going on about how EA ruined the series...
(therefore you go under the category of EA hater, just like you all put us under the category of EA fanboys just cause we think EA hasn't made the game as bad as you think)
but thats not really important,

its ok, we get it, you dont like the fun stuff they added, you would rather a boring, serious, no changes added, no out-there technology, sequel

i admit, i dont like how they have just chosen to remove the link, but all the other stuff, like YR, was fantastic! how can you not like yuri's revenge!?

from the sounds of it you just want Red alert with updated graphics...

Who said it was a crime? You said that you weren't the one who brought this thread off-topic, and I replied by stating that you were the one who kept it going.

Who is more foolish; the fool, or the fool who follows him?

Realism is so overrated it isn't even funny. You already know what happens in reality, how is that entertaining...?

As I noted before, hate is the incorrect term. I dislike their current creative plan for the C&C series. I never called you fanboys either, do don't start that shit.

No. I do not mind change at all, as long as it is believable and doesn't completely throw the storyline off course. A perfect example of something I liked, that was completely believable and added something extra to the game: Flak.

but all the other stuff, like YR, was fantastic! how can you not like yuri's revenge!?

Because the whole mind control thing is what ruined RA2/YR. I quite liked RA2 minus the dolphins and mind control stuff like Yuri and Squids.

Almost. I want 3d RA1 with some extra stuff that is believable and at least semi-serious.

Go play World In Conflict. It's obviously more to your taste than RA3 will be.

What's the point in that? If Ra3 was like that it'd be a waste of money because there would be barely anything new. Might as well just play Ra1 with the expansions.

I'd buy it, and I'd know quite a few others who would too.

There could be a plethora of extra things... something doesn't have to be ridiculous to be added. Also, "some" is an undefined value.

When RA3 comes out there'll be mods to make it 3d RA1.
I've remade a few of the ICFRA buildings to be suited to a proper 3d engine, not sure how quickly I'll get it done (and I'm not getting RA3 on day one anyway) but I'm sure I won't be the only person doing it.
