I'm making a new WotE website that will include all the info you need concerning the additions of the mod. It's a big project, thus I need the help of you, enthusiastic WotE fans, in order to make everything go smoothly.

I'm in a need of screenshots of certain Units/heroes/structures which will be presented with the unit descriptions. Also, any decent battle shots would be most welcome.

That's why I decided to hold a screenshot contest. Anyone can enter with any number of screenshots. The screens can be either from Beta 3.0, 3.1 or 3.2. I hope you don't show the black sky in the screens; Commander or General views are the best views if you play in an RJCam map.

There will be two people who get a reward; the person with best screenshot will be given the following:
- A position as a Beta tester for the next WotE beta
- Access to all WotE reskins plus all the obsolete WotE art.
The first runner-up will be given the Beta tester position.

But what units should you take screens of? Here's the list:

Units
- Rohan Peasants
- Golasgil Household Knights
- Gondor Spearmen
- Orc Scouts
- Black Uruks
- Uruk Raiders
- Ruffians
- Uruk Bombers
- Pikemen of Morgul Vale
- Ered Luin Sentries

Heroes
- Denethor
- Gamling
- Alatar
- Grimbeorn
- Tom Bombadil

Structures
- Lorien Treehouse
- Rohan Barracks
- Hobbit Barracks
- Spider Nest

The list will be updated every once in a while. Please note that when taking screens, try to include only the unit/hero in question in the pic. You may have more than one unit of the same kind in your screenshots. Try to take good closeups, as they add quality to the scene.

Even though you wouldn't win a prize, I bet it's fun to take screenshots of your number one mod :good:

Maybe if some of the beta testers are inactive, a potential spot for the best could be considered.

Yeah anyone thats registered can enter i think, you need to follow this: "The screens can be either from Beta 3.0, 3.1 or 3.2. I hope you don't show the black sky in the screens; Commander or General views are the best views if you play in an RJCam map.".

And only the units and heroes that are listed.

And "any decent battle shots" :thumbsupsmiley:

Unfortunately, I can't enter due to lack of time. But here's a hint for those who take a shot of Denethor: try to make a screenshot of him without his shield (which he gets on level 5), OR make one screenshot without and one with the shield

"Well, I can't argue with that - modding IS hard. But what would have become of games like Starcraft, Warcraft 3, Dungeon Siege, Half-Life 1-2, Neverwinter Nights and BfME 1-2 if we, modders, weren't there ? They would have long been forgotten. Modding is hard, but it's an honorable thing." - MorrisB

Noob question: how do you take pictures. I'm saying that I forgot how, not that I don't know to start with.

Another question that might be stupid to ask, but do the units have to be fighting?

No. Ithron needs the pictures of the mentioned heroes/buildings/units because he needs them for a new WotE website. Just take a screenshot of them, one-by-one as they are standing still. And as Ithron said, make sure there aren't any other units/heroes on that picture apart from the unit/hero/building you make a photo of.

Where do you enter the photos? If I keep asking questions, it's partly the fact that I haven't done these kinds of things in a while.

Go to a image upload server such as ImageShack and upload the image to there, then paste the [img][img/] codes to the message box and the picture is displayed. Not sure if guests can do this, but there is also an upload feature on the forums themselves where you don't need to use an image upload server.

I am no longer a Guest, I am Ring of Fate!
Edit: Um, how do you use it, and how does it work?
