D-day overload!

I'll start off first with news on a major unit list change, after beta testing & many days of thought I've decided to replace the repair vehicles with supply trucks as resource gathers. The Americans will however keep their repair vehicles but they will no longer be able to collect supplies (this makes them a bit more useful as they wont auto-collect supplies but instead auto-repair XD). I have also decided to remove Britain's tank destroyers, they have however been replaced by special engineering units like the Scorpion Mine flail, Crocodile flame tank, ARVE & a recoilless rifle tank. I hope this will make the British more unique & emphasize their use of specialist equipment.
Even with these changes the affect on the beta is very minimal as I already have trucks for most of the sides done & all but one of the British units are all based on existing units so the time needed to make them is negligible. In fact you might be interested to know that there is only 17 vxls left to make for the beta, so that’s roughly a few weeks work. However there is still a lot of code to do & masses of shp work but things are getting close!
Now it's time to for some pics I started work on new Gfx for the loading screen & main menu last week, after lots of ideas & three tries later I managed to come up with something. I still need to make things like the buttons, arrows & scroll bars etc but the layout & back ground is done.
Next up is something that has filled me with both passion & hatred, I also feel that this one building summarizes D-day it’s self in that even tho it took two years to make it was well worth it in the end. The Reichstag which alongside the Brandenburgert are the centrepiece to the Berlin map which hopefully is the first in several highly accurate maps that have been researched down to the street level.
Carrying on I have some more buildings, these ones however where made by MadHQ who is kindly giving me a hand with some of the shp work. These where made as a test using my old work as a base & are very much still a work in progress, they should give you an idea of things to come tho.
lastly (yes there is more!) I have a few unit pics... well 15 to be exact
Willy’s MB Jeep
DUKW
M12
Sikorsky R-4
LCT Mk.6
Morris C8 GS
A22 Churchill AVRE
FV304
FV4401 Contentious
FV214 Conqueror
S-75/SAM-2
Flakpanzer V Coelian
Schützenpanzer E-50 Büffel
Pzkfw E-75
Panzerjäger E-100 Krokodil
some things I should point out about these units, the DUKW has replaced the CCKW as the American MCV giving them amphibious base construction ability. The Büffel is in fact a hypothetical unit based on a German IFV from the late 50's but using late war tech. It was invented by a skilled model maker who also included diagrams & background information, I know it's not historically accurate but I felt that it would improve gameplay if the Germans had such a unit. The E-75 & Krokodil are somewhat ambiguous too as very little information about them is available so I used my creative licence to make them using bits & pieces from different sources.

Do the structures have any re-map what so ever? If so where is it located?
Also, The roof of that Reichstag is extremely plain, I'm not sure if thats intentional, but a few minor details like some different shadings around the middle area would look much better if you ask me. Overall, fabulous work.
I'd also like to take this time to ask you if D-Day is in need of any extra mapping / campaign help. If so, I'm quite capable If you'd like me to show you my work simply ask and I'll be happy to do so.

Love the Panzerjäger E-100 Krokodil, best voxel ever IMO.
The SHP is also amazing and fits Dday style, just make a slow rotation anim for the big radar. would look cool(if its done in 3d).

Also, the Reichstag could use a bit darker texture to fir in better with the rest of the buildings. Also, some more detail overall wouldn't hurt, as it looks cartoonish.
Everything else is top-knotch and the buildings are especially pleasant to look at, as well as accurate. But where is their remap?

with that said,
WOW the buildings are amazing, the new units looks amazing, the Reichstag leaves me speechless, I also like the little changes to the sides you talk about (perhaps you have some ideas for the others too?). And there's the prospect of a beta perhaps before years end. This update's got it all!!
Happy birthday Dday
Quick edit: have been meaning to ask, but how will the flail tanks work in game, what do they bring to the table?

Sorry that you feel ignored, if you mean about map making then thx but the terrain I use is an on going work & thus any maps made now probably wont be compatible with the mod in a few months time & the same again in another few months etc. TBH I'm the only one that can make the maps because I'm the only one that knows what is going on with everything.

I also have to ask, does the DUKW MCV suffer from the AI bugs that hamper hover MCVs?
Also, I can't find any photos of the Contentious that look how you depicted it. Something labelled as such was on one site, and it was much more similar to the S-Tank than your double gunned one...

The DUKW works fine, hover MCVs are buggy because they hover not because they are amphibious.
There are three different designs with the name Contentious, it was a project to find a light & highly mobile tank destroyer. The first & most common one is the S-tank, the second one is a wheeled tank which I have little info on & the third is the one I made. It’s a one man light tank with twin 120mm recoilless guns using an auto-loading system. I uploaded a diagram of it to the site, which you can find here
