To the person who posted about it to make it compatiable for NPatch, a good waste of time.

You could have used your skills to make a new patch instead.

I understand why you don't support no cd cracks or serials, because this only leads to piracy. I also do not support such things. I only made it so i did not have to put the cd in every time i wanted to play mental omega (2.0c). What i made was in no way a key generator, or serial key.

Actually, it works fine (perfectly). I only had to edit a few strings of hex. All of the strings that i changed were untouched by your patch because they do not affect gameplay and are never accessed during gameplay. They were the same as in the original yr 1.001 gamemd.exe and are simply used to detect the legitimate cd at launch.

BTW i do own yr, infact two copies of it (original & tfd)

A No CD feature is pointless as we have ISO burning software. I use it and so do many modders.

Maybe one day EA will be clever enough to do a no cd patch like Blizzard did with WC III some day but until then please don't promote it on internet as many people can say they own legal copies of YR, etc.

I downloaded this package from the official EA Forum and extracted it to my Yuri Installation-Dir. And I noticed, that I don't need my Yuri CD anymore. So it's now finally possible to play without cd, because I like to play it portable in the school xD. I know, this game is really old but I still play it.

So it is possible to play Mental Omega Mod without cd with XCC mod launcher? Because I don't like to carry the cd all the time with me, since I installed the Npatch. A portable harddisk is enough for me.

And yes I have a legal one, I bought the game twice to play with a friend over the internet.
