Has anybody thought of adding the druedain as a summon? It wouldn't seem as weird for them to pop right out on the map b/c they were stealthier than hobbits. They had a lot of weird magic powers. Read the UT for more info.

I think it'd be better to outline what they should be able to do, how they'd fight, all that jazz before we decide on how they'll enter the battlefield.

Well they were extremely stealthy, used arrows with poison and have a greater hatred of orcs than any other creature. They could sit totally still for days. They also could make satutes that were some how connected to them and could come alive. This some extremely cool things you could do with them.

Yeah, we've discussed them in the Rohan Topic. I think they'd work pretty well as a Summon for Rohan.

In my opinion, they should replace the Rohan Elven Warriors, they make no sense.

Rohan Elven Warriors are there because of the The Two Towers and as a way of showing of the Alliance between Elves and Men.

And uruks never had crossbows, that was pj's invention too...

We try to blend books and films in a way that will make the game the most fun.

Yeah but Elven Warriors were in the original BFME to include some sort of elven units in the game. Now that there is an entire faction, they are not necessary anymore. Why do we want Elves in Rohan wich don't belong there when we have the Elven Faction? We can add any kind of unit that is lore accurate and we would not only respect Tolkien's work, but also add diversity to the game.

I disagree, their role is advanced infantry/archer. Their range is good with the bow, to remove them I would think put Rohan at a disadvantage.

why disadvantege ? we are speaking here about druedains. And i think thoose guys sound more powerfull than thoose Rohan elfes. Poison arrows, summon some weird statue, stealth, good range.
I think this is clear whos better.

I like them to be summanble, but if they are to replace Rohans elfs, im not against it ( but then no summon, need another idea )

They never fought for rohan in books or films.

Elves fought for rohan in the films.

The closest thing to lore that druedain would do would be to reveal the map for you...

Why do we want Elves in Rohan wich don't belong there when we have the Elven Faction?

Why have Men in the Rohan faction when they might belong in the Gondor faction or vice versa? Just because they're of the same species doesn't mean they fight for the same side.
And as Yoda previously stated, the Elves fit to the films, the Druedain to neither film nor books.

soo WHY dont you even want them as summon, or better to say ROHAN summon . . . . when as you all stated, they didnt fight with them in movies nor books

we want them as a summon because htey appear in the books, just not as a fighting ally. that doesnt mean they didnt help...

They didn't fight side by side with the rohirrim, but they did fight for them! They attacked an army of orcs searching for the rohirrim with poison darts and arrows. If the rohirrim met the orcs, they would have arrived at Minas Tirith with heavy losses and the battle might have been very different

well thats what i meant by a them not being a fighting ally; they never fought next to the rohirrim in battle, but still fought orcs when they got the chance.
