Granted, but it was a meteorite you wished, lands on you and you were dead by the impact of that meteorite

I wish I had a friend that didn't betray me

Granted, now it's your mother that betrayed you. And that's even more galling.

I wish I didn't eat that fish.
I hope I am a good enough writer that some day dwarves kill me and drink my blood for wisdom.

Granted, you never ate that fish and it lived happily ever after, while you starved the whole day.

I wish i had a Kotobukiya HMM Blade liger

Granted, but the genie granting your wish has just as little idea of what that is as me, so presents you with a half-eaten cheese sandwich instead, which gives you AIDS.

I wish I could restore regular sleeping patterns.
I hope I am a good enough writer that some day dwarves kill me and drink my blood for wisdom.

You do, but only momentarily.

I wish I could only understand.

Granted, now you cannot know, just understand. Thus you are unable to speak, walk, eat, drink, breathe, or anything, because they are all forms of knowledge. What makes it more galling is that you understand how they are done, you simply do not understand how to do them yourself.

I wish my sore throat would go already.
I hope I am a good enough writer that some day dwarves kill me and drink my blood for wisdom.

Granted, your throat is gone.

I wish that I had the socially acceptable power of telekinesis without it drastically disfiguring me physically or mentally.

I wish i can float on water.

Granted, but you float in the water in the air - and so are carried into the upper atmosphere to a horrible death consisting of suffocation from the gradual thinning of oxygen and burning in the intense heat generated by the ascent.

I wish I had a Mountain Dew/Rockstar/Skittles cocktail -.-

I wish I could understand why.

Granted, but now you understand why you will turn to drink aged 26, eventually succumbing to liver failure and living on a dialysis machine for several more gut-wrenching years as your body slowly rots around you.

I wish I didn't have to get up tomorrow morning.

26? I'm surprised it's not much earlier :xcahik_:

Granted, but as you continue to not wake when you are supposed to, you become a hobo. Which, depending on your view, may not be a bad thing. Until you get rabies from the rat you tried to eat last week.

I wish I actually had some good luck once in a while.

Granted, you hear a knock on the door and they said you won a million dollars, but before you claim it the cops came to arrest the people who tried to sell you a million dollars, so thereby not getting the money, but your luck as well.

I wish I had pyrokinesis. :xcahik_:

I wish I could be bothered to cook some breakfast.

Granted, but you're too damn tired to make it properly, and burn your eggs, bacon, sausage, and pancakes.

I wish I knew whether my friend was lying about a girl liking me or not.

OFFTOPIC: I GOT GUITAR HERO AEROSMITH!!! I'M FINALLY GONNA BE 13 SOON!!!

Hello everyone. I am back.

I wish I knew whether my friend was lying about a girl liking me or not.

Granted, you know that he was lying. You are now unable to trust anything your friend ever says again, and still no girls like you. As a side effect, you decide that all women are too much trouble if they're giving you so much emotional suffering that you feel the need to share it all with a bunch of complete strangers from around the world via the medium of the internet, bearing in mind that they are complete strangers and you don't actually know them at all, which leads you on to turning gay in later life, which in turn leads to your parents, raging homophobes that they are, disowning you and cutting you out of their will. (Original enough for you?)

I wish my early lecture had been cancelled instead of my lunchtime one. I needed the sleep.
