No, it's not :) Even when I don't post I'm still visiting it fairly often incase anyone needs help with my mods. Though Matt and Lauri usually beat me at posting the help :)

@morgul warrior: can you be more specific? Does the game not start or does it crash when you choose the map or try to load the map? Are you running the game on patch 1.03? And do you have any other mods like the Elvenstar installed?

EDIT: posts split into a new thread as they don't relate to the old thread.

Thanks,
-GothmogtheOrc

Can you tell me what exactly it says it can't find in the error message? I only need the first bit that should say something like "Can't find template: +MordorGto Template doesn't exist?!" or something similar. Or a screenshot would work fine too.

My best guess is that a previous mod or map that you installed must have edited the original bfme files because if you have the 1.03 patch then there should not be any problems caused by my mod; I've tested it extensively and I haven't heard of anyone else having problems. Therefore the simplest solution would be to reinstall bfme and patch it up to 1.03. That should make the mod run without any problems, but you'd probably lose some of your other mods and possibly maps so it might not be the best solution for you.

You need Patch 1.03. The Move_For_Noone crash is a well-known symptom of having the wrong patch.

I could possibly find and send you the models/skins you'd need to make the nazgul mount horses but I can't, and won't, write up instructions or code for you (no time or desire to do so). And unless you already know how to mod bfme it might be too hard a project to start out with... it's an intermediate level modification to the game at least as it requires knowledge of the code, animations, how mounting works, and a host of other issues. Let me know if you are still interested and I'll try to dig up those art files if I still have them.

FX_TreeBeardAuraFX is also a well known patch related error (it was added in patch 1.03). Did you patch all the way up to 1.03? *err, is it even possible to not patch all the way up? can't recall now that I think of it* Have you installed any other mods like the Elvenstar mod that might have overwritten your files with older versions of the game?

I just looked up and downloaded Wars of Middle Earth and yes you will need to uninstall it as it is a patch 1.02 mod and it messes up your default directory. This mod almost definately is causing your errors.

Basically, any mod that edits the game's default directory (the simplest way to mod) will not run with other mods. However, most well made mods (and nearly all mods made by The3rdAge members now) use the -mod command which does not overwrite any of the games original files thus allowing the player to have as many mods as they like as well as the original game all installed at the same time :p

Well you might have to completely reinstall your copy of bfme and then patch it. I can't help you any more than I have... my mod WILL work on a clean version of bfme1 with patch 1.03 installed. The fact that yours doesn't work means there is something different with your bfme files, most likely from another mod you installed that messed them up somehow.

Did you try patching the game after you uninstalled the Wars of Middle earth mod? Maybe that would help...
