or maybe because omega describes something as being really powerful/strong/good?

so yes, i think you are a little to proud :wink_new:

You're talking right out of your arse. Omega is the last letter of the Greek alphabet. Nothing more, nothing less. It's also used to represent the last in a mathematical set because it's the last letter in the alphabet. They might as well have called her 'Yuriko-Z', It's the same thing.

They don't call the watch "Z" either though :wink_new:

screw you, can you honestly say you have not heard omega used to describe something big/powerful/stong etc? no? didn't think so...

the mod that was being talked about even uses it in this context, mental Omega, the giant brain washing device that can control the minds of the whole world...

yuriko omega, the super powerful psychic, the hero unit(aka the best the have) of japan in RA3...

and thats just the examples of it in this thread...

Omega is the last letter of the Greek alphabet.

dude, im half greek, i know this, have know it from a young age...

Is there some kind of pop-culture reference I'm missing here? Omega has never meant "best", it's always represented the "last" or "final".

What, like in 'The Omega Man', where the character is the last normal man alive? Fatty acids in my fish fingers? The final boss from Dead or Alive?

Well, if one's going to be nitpicky, it does mean "great O" (as opposed to omicron - the "little O"). I guess one could start making up something from that.

last, best, whatever, the point is, i dont think its a reference to the mental omega mod...
