Hi have been working on a map that has a large bay(lake).
The lake is on the bottom right corner.
The water flows the wrong way.
the water flows to the bottom right but I wnat it to flow to the top of the map.
I'm an average mapper who is not overly good at making water.

I haven't experimented with lake flows yet. Have a look at my big tutorial, try using the same plot placement technique as I did for the river - i.e. do the points at the source, then one side, then the other end, then the other side.

Also, having seen screens of some of your maps, change the lake texture! I hate that default light blue, completely unrealistic.

I'll muck around with the lakes later if I have time (it is one of the main things I haven't put in my tut yet).

Doesn't appear to be any way of changing this. You could stick the movement to 0 and then put in some water ripples around the edge if anything sticks out (Civilian>System>WaterRippleSpawn)

Yeah Lakes are rather limited from what I've seen.

The screens you've probably seen are pretty old.
I play more with the Water textures now.
I have been been getting better with mapping especially with water.

Ok, I know this is stupid but it's a question I've been burning to ask...
And I warn you it might seem like I'm being an idiot but...

I've been trying to work out for AGES how to add rivers to BFME II worldbuilder maps and apart from clicking on the river button, placing waypoints and connecting them I cannot fathom what you're meant to do after that in order to get yourself a working river that actually looks like a river.

If it's alright would you mind helping me out with this problem? I've looked all over the web and I can't find the answer anywhere...

Thanks :)

You make a four-point river, then drag one side in the direction you want it to flow, I think. Look at the river tutorial on the T3A site (or if it's not there, it's on GameReplays).
