Hi. When i try to launch contralaucher.exe, it gives me this error.

The ZH folder should be named exactly like this:
"Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour"
Try a "&" instead of "and"

Okay, just take all the files in the contra folder (click+shift+down/up arrow), and extract (or copy and paste) to your zero hour folder. It worked for me, I thought it was only for those with first decade (or vista...)

By the way, can you tell be the install path for your Zero Hour and which registry key on your computer contains this install path?Hi. When i try to launch contralaucher.exe, it gives me this error.

Eddy have answered correctly. Moving Contra files to Zero Hour folder will solve the problem. But I need to know why the error happened to fix it in next release.

i encounter the same problem , and i solved that .
my reg of some kind of "free" generals...it have problem of locating generals.exe
H:\Games\Command & Conquer The First Decade\
my fixed reg that have no problem of locating generals.exe
H:\Games\Command & Conquer The First Decade\Command & Conquer™ Generals Zero Hour
(this reg is at the hkey_LM>software bababa(as the reg that laucher looks for ~"~))
well , i like my drive name setting...
what games do i play ? H games... -o-
hopes i get the corrent answer for you .

No. I need to know registry setings. Please run registry editor and find the key which contains the string "C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer The First Decade\Command & Conquer™ Generals Zero Hour". I need to know the path to that registry key.On my comp, it's...

I solved this problem by using Crosus.
No need to edit registry, easy to launch and can still play other Mods or Original game.
(Assumes Crosus (http://www.isotx.com/) is installed an running properly, and using TFD in default location)
1. Navigate to
\Command & Conquer The First Decade\Command & Conquer™ Generals Zero Hour\MTVMods
If you dont have any mods installed already you may need to create the MTVMods folder
2. Create a folder called Contra6
3.Copy all the files from "Contra 006 packed with ZIP"
into the Contra6 folder. (The data folder, .big files, Ariag.ttf, can copy others but not needed)
4.
Rename the .big files to end in .mod eg "!Contra006.big.mod"
5. Exit crocus (right click icon) and start Crosus again.
6. The Mods tab should now contain a working Contra6 link.
PS: this would be easy if you actualy hosted the mod on Crosus

You should not have that problem if you follow the instructions in my previous post as it does not use the Contra launtcher, it loads it through CrosuS.
I know it takes a while to set up, but once I got it working i found it works well.

how do you even get zero hour contra in the mod list by crosuS doesn't work by me.
don't even detect the mod.
and jes iv'e placed all the files in the contra6 map
in the MTVMods map
and... don't work
also i get, while using contra launcher a pop-up saying ''corrupt registery entry. unable to determine generals zero hour version''
help would be great couse i reeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaly want to play this mod

Found the problem, if your using first decade EA decided to make the install path reg key the first decade folder instead of the specific zero hour folder, I changed the install path to the zero hour folder and everything worked fine.
E.g. my reg key was
D:\CnC\First Decade
i changed it to
D:\CnC\First Decade\Command and Conquer™ Zero Hour
E.g. my reg key was
D:\CnC\First Decade
i changed it to
D:\CnC\First Decade\Command and Conquer™ Zero Hour

HI PLEASE HELP ME I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO I HAVE BEEN WANTING TO PLAY FOR MONTHS MAYBY A YR OR 2 PLEASE HELP
when i double click general's zero hours icon it loads fine but at the lil boxs with the stuff in it it pops a box saying
i got no idea what to do and if the image doesnt show it is called " Cannot locate the CD-ROM"
and it says in side " Please insert the correct CD-ROM, select OK and restart application"
god help me email me an anwser or anything that can help

Copy your "game.dat" from ZH folder and replace the one in contra folder.

If that is Contra 007 launcher - it is no longer maintained and I don't have the source code to check and see the conditions under which this message is displayed. I recommend you to obtain the latest Contra version: https://github.com/C...ons.md#ENGLISH-
