Not since the Egyptians were big has there been any major civilization in Africa. If colonialism caused a mentality in Africa that made them stick to the tribal ways instead of trying to do something new, then I could understand how it was our fault. But they have to be as good as muslims to keep record of grudges if thats whats keeping them back these days.

even though major international corporations might be working in Africa, I wouldn't put all the blame on them for the state Africa is in. sure they aren't helping, but it also seems that positive external influences(like medicines and food aid) is not breeding initiative and motivation to become bigger. "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime", that kinda jazz is what I'm thinking about here.
