Well, Long time no news from Expansions. This is mainly due to the long break i took from modding a short while back, however the past few days ive been modding away at re-coding and recreating many things in Expansions.

Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

Most haradrim units now have lua, Wich allows there models to randomize within game. Haradrim Raiders, Lancers, Archers, Banner Carriers, Mahûds and various other units now use this method.

Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

Harads units are quick and light armored, Although there are a number of elite units. I am currently looking for Beta testers who are interested in testing an early version of the Haradrim faction aswell as some other staff,

Wanted: Coders
Wanted: Testers

If interested contact me.

Thanks to, robnkarla, Lauri and Dark Lord of the Sith for helping me fix problems i had with the LUA Coding.

Note: Those who have already contacted me about testing, Ill be getting back to you shortly.

They look sick, but maybe you should zoom in a bit more for screens :) Hard to see any details from that far away...

If the latest update was only a little while ago, why is Expansions archived?

Careful. This link is DANGEROUS. Do NOT click it. This one, however, is fine.

If by a little while ago, you mean 5 months, than yeah, way too in-active. Besides, before this update, there had been none for over a year. :p

Shame... the modding community is a rotting corpse, its days of glory long gone.

Maybe the glory days are over, but it's not rotting yet.

Erhh... yeah, if you say so. Some of the best work the BFME modding community has seen is very recent. :p

Yes, but we and our little offshoot forums have 1 or 2 animators, 2 or 3 REALLY good coders that actuallys still code, plenty of mappers but under 15 superior ones and only a few skinners and modelers... but we do have a S.C.A.M. Lauri would know what I meen. And it's all these people that are pushing the engine to its limits. Beyond that, this game is dead. Online is decaying as we speak. Same goes for RotWK. After Gothmog, T4A, LW and MME are finished (it's not "if" for the first 3), there will be a very small modding community for BFME I. Everyone will flock to RA, which will likely never be finished... or if it is, it'll be years from now, when very few people still play. The only 3 big mods for RotWK that are going full speed ahead are WoA, AotFB and RJ-RotWK. SEE's the only BFME II mod worthy of any recognition, but it lost it's head coder, the essential brain and heart of the mod.

What!? I guess my mod is worth little to you. You know, for someone who hasn't been on T3A for very long, you have a lot of strong and biased opinions. If you think the community is so dead, than just leave. Trust me, I know a lot more than you when it comes to BFME modding, and the forums are no where near dead. Believe what you must, but please get your facts right.

No, your mod is a super-map. It doesn't count as a mod in my opinion, but it will, for fact, be the greatest map ever released. And although Sul is back, it's not completely. He's gonna be coming and going. SEE is making progress, though.

And activity has just died down... I've looked through old posts and what not. The modding community is not going to completely die for another 4 or 5 years, though. Activity's just dying down.
I'm creeping, not gone.

Why not? Pretty much two factions are being completely redone and of course, there's the map too. :p I could easily just make the factions available in all the maps and than no one can say it's not a "true" or "real" mod. In the end, a mod is short for modifications. And I would say my mod has plenty of modifications in it. ;)

Oh, and of course activity is dying down! Any modding community that hasn't had an release of a new game for a while will slowly lose activity. It's inevitable. I just get bothered when people say the community is dead. ;)

Let's just say that if there's people here debating whether the community is dead or not, then its not dead. A dead forum doesn't have any active members to debate its status. :p
