Hey all....i wanted some one to show me how to extract AI from EAs maps and it into custom made ones. Made maps are great except most of them are meant to be played via multiplayer while i play against the computer. Have spent a lotta time tweaking the AI, inducing huge arming, but the AIs gotta be EAs.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

One more question real quick...ive managed to edit Skirmishdata.ini such that the armies that are created by AI opponents are huge...now many a time the armies are so huge its exciting...imagine the feeling when u see the otherwise boring AI create 100 Mumakils, 1000 of orcs and Rhun and bout 50 Catapults....thing is sometimes...they dont attack :(. Thats really depressing...most of the times the create and send to attack (its an electric feeling) but when theyre stuck at their base its really annoying...why does this happen and how to overcome this?

Regards.

I might be able to help you with the Skirmishdata.ini thing but i'm not much of a map maker.

WoW! Old post... but I thought I'd respond anyhow. There's a difference bewteen getting the AI system to build lots of stuff and getting the AI system to effectively make use of stuff thats built. Assuming all the necessary object functions have been coded correctly, then you need to increase the number of assigned units to your ATTACK, DEFENSE and PATROL teams within "AIYourFactionName.map". The usual numbers are around 3 or so... i.e. no more than 3 objects will be active at any one time. Increase it to the number you like, and you should see a difference.

Note: Be careful which teams you play around with (in AIfactionname.map) as large numbers of early patrol team objects will cause your AI enemies to bankrupt themselves very quickly!

Cheers,

Hebblewhite.
Reassuringly Expensive...

Blade with whom I have lived,
Blade with whom I now die,
Serve right and justice one last time,
Seek one last heart of evil,
Still one last life of pain,
Cut well old friend, and then... farewell
