[President Hugo Chávez on an intense speech during an act in support to the to the candidates of PSUV in Carabobo state ordered the expulsion from Venezuela of U.S ambassador Patrisck Duddy. The President gave Duddy a 72 hour timeline to leave the country.

“We are beginning to question diplomatic relationships with U.S. This Yankee Ambassador in Caracas has 72 hours, starting now, to leave Venezuela. ¡Go fuck yourselves, fucking yankees!, Chávez yelled. Also, the President called Venezuelan Ambassador in U.S, Bernardo Alvarez to return to the country. “When there’s a new government in U.S, then our Ambassador can go back there” he said.

Because of the expelling, by the U.S government, of the Bolivian ambassador, The president Chávez used a foul language to refer to that country. “We, you fucking yankees, know this, we are resolved to be free no matter what, no matter the cost. Enough of this shit from you Yankees” Chávez stated.

President Chávez said that the American Empire is behind a plan to bomb the Miraflores Palace. “They want to bring yankee airplanes(...) and generate violence in Venezuela”.
“Behind the coupe that we have unveiled in the past few hours the American Empire is involved, these next days and weeks are going to be difficult, let’s be alert because the President of the United States knows that he’s leaving though the back door of history”. Regarding the elections in November, he stated that “We are the warranty of peace; the Opposition is the warranty of violence and fascism”.

Also, the President has threatened to suspend the oil supply to United States, Venezuela’s main customer, should Washington attack his government. “I hold responsible for the oil shipments from Venezuela to that country, if they attack Venezuela. No oil for the people of United States..]

I wonder what would Chávez do if the Americans send 2 aircraft carriers here... what an ass :shiftee:

Though I don't think Chavez is doing what's in his country's best interests, I've got to admire his style. It takes a very special kind of man to openly curse at the USA.

Unless my Spanish is rustier than I realised, I believe that translates as "Why don't you shut the fuck up?" Or words to that effect. Anyone?

nothing more than steam imo. who are they going to sell oil to if they stop sending it to the states? that would quickly empty Chavez's coffers.

its going to be interesting to see what angle the western world is going to put on all these oil-owners with all this rhetoric against their main buyers. ultimately i guess it will all just end up in a "war for democracy" in whatever land that looks the easiest to take on.

Ahem...

Chavez is just an copy of Fidel Castro...

He is basicly anti-US guy...

Whats so surprising he did that?I don't see anything new around...

To be honest,I think Castro fought better against the US than Chavez...

I think the difference is that Chavez always wanted to stand against the US, whereas Castro tried to make agreements with them and be on their side, but Nixon branded him a communist in 1959, which forced Castro's hand into dealing with the USSR, and the USA have refused to touch Cuba since. Their loss.

I can see another "democratic war" happening, sadly. America needs its oil, and won't be happy without. Someone should get a move on and invent a cheap hydrogen fuel cell. That would have been a much better use of international funding than the £3.5 billion CERN project.

I've been following this guy for some time now. He's a real fine example of a world leader. Cursing on camera. People thought I was paranoid when he started making large arms purchases frm Russia a few years back. Now we can see where he's going.

In continuation with that above article, he also stated if Bolivia became unstable that he would use his troops to stablise it. I don't think it has anything to do with the US, They simply want to slowly consolidate power among communist nations in S America.

Yeah, seriously...there are no "communist" nations in South America, Chile is Socialist and so is Venezuela, but that's as close as you'll get...but I can see Venezuela getting there in the future.

There are lots of nations, both within and without South America, who could do with changing the direction their government is taking them. But, as far as I'm aware, none of those in South America are communist.... Unless I've missed something really big here.

Are you all asleep at the wheel. Anyone ever heard of Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Do you think it's democratic. Obviously Ven and Bolivia still vote on mandates. But you'd have to be pretty stupid to not hear Chavez words over the last couple of years, his nationalization of oil and other major industries.

I know many of you are secretly clapping hands any time theres alittle bit more socialism/communism in the world. Some posting in this thread have come right out and said they prefer communism over current forms of government.

Let's try not to notice the large pink elephant in the living room and tell me there is no elephant. South America has a number of leaders who are pushing hard to turn their nations into a true communist government.

Can you honestly going to tell me Chavez is not trying to turn his nation into a typical peasant communist nation? (watch the answers to this question, it'll tell you a lot about those who answer)

Perfect communism is the perfect type of government.
However, just like perfect capitalism it is impossible.

Agreed. Which is why I'll settle for second-best, or whatever's going at the time, which is most likely going to be moderate socialist capitalism disguised as the real capitalist deal.

I genuinely have difficulty understanding why Communism is such a massive problem in America. So you were at loggerheads with a communist nation for 45 years, ish. America's hatred and mistrust of communism goes back before then, and will doubtless continue for many more years. What I'm looking forward to is when someone points out that America of the future has turned communist without realising, which is almost certain to happen. Food shortages, fuel shortages, living space running low... These and more will contribute to people looking to the government for a solution, which will likely result in regulated distribution, which is one of the ideological bases of communism. Fingers crossed, chaps!

The idea of comunism,is that it brings changes faster, and gives chances to those who have less.

But,in the same time, gives power to the supreme leader/party,and,in the end, people want more.

Actually, it's not. The idea of 'perfect communism', which we were referring to, is that it is an extremely slow process, which happens after capitalist society essentially undersells itself and becomes a corporate monopoly, with the same corporation also holding high stakes in the government, or maybe huge debts. Something like that. But the corporation will become the government, and, being the only thing around, will morph into a communist state. Karl Marx explained it better.

I admit, I haven't read the Communist Manifesto myself, but as far as I'm aware, communism the way Marx saw it was the final stage of societal evolution and does not require any goverment anymore (in that way it's very close to Anarchism). What happens between this communism and capitalism would then be classified as socialism, where you have the "dictatorship of the proletariat", meaning the state grows at first under the control of the proletarians to collectivize all property and then kind of destroys itself (which, in my opinion, is one of the inherent flaws of the theory).

I'm not sure what means exactly Marx foresaw for society to regulate itself, but probably Lenin's idea of the soviets wasn't too far away, only that it would be kept on a very local level.

He calls it 21st Century Socialism, while in reality is just plain old 20th Century Communism.
