If there is still lag though even on low settings, you can create a simple script at the beginning that fades the entire screen to black. That way there will absolutely be no lag and the sound should match perfectly with the avi capture.you got it, sound comes in later... then you restart the scripted scenario and record the sounds you want, using low settings helps in maintaining the time frame on this part, due to the fact you don't need to capture anything visual, might be a good idea when capturing the sound to switch off the music in the main options window also (if you're going to add a new track later) - although this all sounds very awkward, the result will be worth it in the end.

You mean a multiplayer skirmish between us?
No, I'm sorry, I don't have time for that . I'm at college ATM. Try playing a LAN-game against the AI (in the multiplayer skirmish screen, just remove human players and insert an AI) and look in which format the replay is stored, and if you can use it.

taksi.sourceforge.net for a recorder i heard is good and http://rapidshare.co..._-_SGF.rar.html for fraps both are full and free

Well, I hope he is . He needs time to try out the mod and make the trailer itself, and Real Life also takes up lots of time... This is why I started so early, to make sure we've got enough time.
@ Jeff: that was nice, but there are some flaws:
- The red background + text hurts the eyes .
- For a high-quality trailer we need high-quality graphics.
- The intro and music was epic, but the gameplay material not so much.
A nice fan video, but we need something quite different. Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm about our mod though .

I understand if you're in a hurry with this and would like somebody else to do the job faster. If this is not the case I'll gladly do it.

I just played the 4.5 version yesterday - gave me some inspiration as what to highlight in the video. Unfortunately I have to admit that my time for the trailer is quite limited and its production won't be done overnight.
I understand if you're in a hurry with this and would like somebody else to do the job faster. If this is not the case I'll gladly do it.
Like I said, there's plenty of time. You've got 2 more months =).

Can't you just use an outside recorder for sound and fraps for video, and put them together?Well, the thing about fraps that I'm not too particular about, Jeff, is that it seems that the only audio that you're able to input is from a microphone, which doesn't sound very good (constant clicking, cars going by, etc. ), unless I'm missing something, an option that is able to record in-game audio. And I saw that Taski doesn't record audio at all. I think the best way to get the job done is to use a registered version of Game cam, which I believe is able to record in-game audio. WHICH I am gonna have to pay for. But whatever.
