That's bad news, but don't give up, it's just temporary pain and you will be able to come with better versions of these lost assets (well coding is different thing).

I have no beta testers yet, just staff i give build every few months.

Look, My PC can't even boot up, nothing works..its completely DEAD! (no accessing that safe mode menu)

Yes, i have but they are old, worst part being inis, i dont backup those due to lazyness so way older.

My brothers PC once died. It was the motherboard that died, the information on the harddrive was still there after they replaced the motherboard.
Try to take the harddrive out and place it in a other computer. Its either the mainboard/motherboard or the thing that feed the computer with power(dunno how to say it in english ).
If the harddrive die or get corrupted, the computer dont complete die like this.

Apollo: Without doing post, ill just say that, this was tried but unsuccessful.

well... i experience this a "lot"...

im in a middle of a 6 months modding and suddenly the pc crashes...
a hardware failure causing many errors... pc crashes...
someone in the family accidentally downloads a pc crashing virus... the pc crashes...
or someone in the family doesn't know who's files is this and keeps deleting unknown stuff to them... i get mad

i kinda learned from that... so brought external hard drives, flash drives and an extra drive in the PC...

I always send backup to my cusin, its safe there. And I sometime upload it on rapidshare with a dummy name. Safe there to. Dunno why u never did it. If I had matrial like you I would do a backup every week.

Thats good that its back up again hopefully it was'nt too much coding and other stuff lost too

maybe its time for ethier the staff to get a new beta or atleast have it backed up somewhere

But coding can be redone. I think coding is not a big issue. The main question is if you lost any GFX?

There is no point in staff that don't do anything for mod assets wise and far too many try this trick just to get the mod and vanish anyways.

and giving every week or so..is unlikely as i dont compile it that often besides I trust no one with the mod too much

Anyway corrupted/damages sound/gfx are fixed over time is what I meant by data.

Bah, I know I wouldn't get a beta version; just joking around :x.

However, open up trust to some staff member imo o-o. Wouldn't want like... 3 years of work down the drain.
