Today marks a great day in the history of the gaming community... Today we have all witnessed the opening of yet another great forum on this grand website, Dan's Den.

Basically, the forum is centred around an ever classic computer game, VGA Planets, a space combat, turn based, strategy game.

Well, all I can say to that is we all have our own preferences.. Obviously by the response so far, not many have been too interested in it, and perhaps it was an error in judgement on my part to try and include everyone in this game.

In my own personal experience, all I can say, is that I have been playing this game for approximately 5 years. Throughout that time I have been kept thoroughly entertained by it's simplicity, while still becoming as complex as you want it to be. Maybe people out there dont like strategy games anymore, and are more interested in modern flashy games with 3d support, blah, blah, but imho, this game is what its all about, and thats playability. It's addictive, and being a "semi-fan" of sci-fi programmes I find it quite entertaining on that front as well.

I'm sorry that there has not been a positive response, but it's not my loss, I was purely trying to bring what I thought was an entertaining, small and addictive game to people who I thought might find it as great as I have.

Well, I have played similar games and they don't do any for me anymore. I played several on-line games with a similar idea. It's just boring to me now.

I used to be ace at Star Kingdoms. I didn't play Utopia though, I played Dystopia.

You mean Fenris and Fenrir? Nope, never started one. I only got to 12 mil net on that game. :(

I don't play that anymore. I suck too much now. I'd only hit 7 mil.

92,000 but i just started and only got 541 acers and now i'm rebuilding my troops into tanks i got about 1,000 sum so far and 1,200 more to train.

I don't play these online games anymore. I found em boring and tedious. I mean, EQ and the like just get irritating after a while. How Arg kept playing that thing I don't know.
