Vanguard informed me on MSNM that there is a new e-mail virus on the loose!
If you get a mail from bfeforever@hotmail.com don't download the attachment, it has the W32.SOBIG.VIRUS (after investigation I established that its probably the W32/Sobig.f@MM virus).

You can get full information on the virus Here.Be very careful. The virus will self-mail it-self to all of your friends via its own SMTP server. It will also slow performance while working on a network of you and the others on the network.

I already posted why this SHOULDN'T be posted... obvisouly you didn't read the link you provided either.

It spoofs the from field, so that person doesn't nessacrily have the virus, it uses a random email it finds on the computer. I suggest this be deleted.

Theres no need for this to be deleted. It's a realy virus.
I've opened application.pif's (thinking it's an hosting app) in my time. only to find i've been had. I then just goto http://www.pcpitstop...rus/default.asp and have a shower.

Well, I didnt' mean deleted, but the email of the person you recieved it from removed, because that is false info. It may be true, may be false, but if there is any doubt, it is most likely false.

I got 3 emails like that on my yahoo account, i opened them up and found that yahoo had detected a virus on the emails so i didnt proceed.

In anger i tried to reply, but the email address of the sender had been deleted.

Im pretty sure the virus attached was te one you listed there.
