okay since the last one was closed becaused ash had to due teh iloo dude or kid or watever.


heres the Next Gen. Forum Post.


Scout - Everything moves faster but can be destroyed easier.

Guard - Everything moves slower but units have more Health and Armor.

Extensive Spy Skills - all ur units come out as a elite if 3 spies are sent into a war factory or barracks (if its possible)

This is probably a Noob idea but how bout Epic battle which the AI can build the epic units as part of their task forces though I suppose there could be a way for someone to abuse this trick

Spy skills maybe (as part of future mode likely), while others are dismissed.

This is probably a Noob idea but how bout Epic battle which the AI can build the epic units as part of their task forces though I suppose there could be a way for someone to abuse this trick


Planned already in a way... a Future mode where lower level units have been discontinued and higher level went lower so unlimited devastator/centurion/decimator/ontos while actual epics would only be for AI and it might mass few of them...not just 1 :xcahik_:

what modes are already planned/implemented/in development?

whats the point of thinking up new ideas when development is going along at a snail's pace AND has recently been stalled due to apollo losing all his files?

well anyways another idea

Psycho AI - Builds More Frequent War factories and Barracks. and their base is REALLY big.

Overthrow- only siege units and infantry are allowed, and your defences are always siege weapons. :p

so things like(using original game units as example) flack trooper kill infantry easily, but suck against all else, or rhino can kill tanks in no time, but couldn't kill infantry/structures if their life depended on it

(sorta like how the german tank destroyer or sniper are like... only good against one thing, but really good at it)

Perhaps but would need some more spice to it.

Oh and yes, no need to bring up Iloo every god damn time, he is a pest and need not be reminded of, ok?

Care to elaborate what you consider siege units in this mode? artillery only or does aerial arty count?

Defenses siege means artillery form non-direct inaccurate?

Given majority is direct hit damage, it would require considerable redesign of defense weapons or amount of defenses can go limited if majority have to be disabled in the mode instead of redesigned in working.

Well, Flak trooper was also decent vs air too not just vs inf but against armor it was useless indeed ;)

Still, given how different 2.0 balancing is, there is already high resistance on infantry for example to various forms of weapons compared to none of 1.99 and various other tweaks so this mode won't be extreme leap as such.

well damn.....im runnin out of teh ideas.

retarded ones:


Budget Cutback: u can only build 1 of each unit and structure.

Pre Super Base - A reallybig Map with two players but one Has a giant Base with all the Buildings from ALL the Sides pre built with a Powerful Defense Grid.

while the other player has all the CONyards but has to build from Scratch.

BUT!!!!

the p[layer with the Super base has absolutely NO units but his/her miners mining the ore.

and give the super player a power Source on a big island.

Advanced Armegeddon -

Give the Main "enemy player" a Base With All Four Sides and A LARGE ASS Defense Grid.

Sorry if i sound Repeatitive with this idea but this time their are two enemy players against this one person. and they have access to Freedom league and Aliied Technology (Constructions Yards Required lol)

but have the defenses in the Super base.....ALL ELITE. thats right every single photon blaster Anit Air Battery/ Gun laser Turret and Particle cannon and Hellstorm Cannon an ELITE.

but no units in the entire base. and try to wall off almost the Entire base to make it look Realistic.

well wat do you think???

i improved on the idea.

give me your thoughts.

this Gamemode is mean't for New people to robot storm or people who just want a big base at the start.

There is only one game mode I prefer.
"Limited Construction Yard".
This set BuildLimit=-1 on all MCVs.
This is becuse when you play online, sometime people may buy tons of construction yards and build very large base which cuse the to a endless game.

"Pre Super Base" and "Advanced Armegeddon" are more map/mission ideas than gametypes.

well i have seen this idea in one of the mods i have. and i just wanted to expand on the idea.

and besides the wayy it works. u select ur Force and There would be a Soviet base pre set for you alreay with a Pretty good defense.

so again i just wanted to expand on the idea.

dont know if this has been mentioned, but i remember in tib sun there was an option for no mcv, so you only get your starting units...

what about adding that?
