Well, it's been a very long time since I last gave an update for this mod, but trust me, I am very hard at work. This mod is not dead!

I am coming very close to the release of the 1.2 patch for my current mod, where I will adress a huge batch of balance issues, and even introduce 2 brand new units!

Now, for this special announcement, I will also be introducing a new unit description here. Keep your eyes peeled, I will be releasing another unit description very soon!

So first off, the first Avenger Infantry Unit preview:

Shockwave Trooper

Quick Stats:
Cost: 800
Prerequisites: Barracks, Psychic Radar
Strength: 200
Armor: Plate
Speed: 6
Weapon: Plasma Shockwave
Damage: 85
ROF: 70
AG: Yes
AA: No
Good Vs: Tanks, structures
Weak Vs: Infantry, particularly heavy gunner or grenadier infantry

Description:
The Shockwave unit is the result of several research projects done by the Avenger's top specialists. It combines the technology of creating projectiles with your mind (a technology created by Yuri, then later prefected by the Avengers), the technology of plasma projectiles and warheads, and it is also compatible with the Avenger's Psycho-Kinetics Upgrade (Which accelerates projectiles much faster, at nearly the speed of light). This unit is one of the most punishing infantrymen on the battlefield; it is ruthlessly effective against tanks, and is even capable of taking out smaller structures.

It is decently fast and very heavily armored, making it especially tough to kill and all that more dangerous. It does have a huge weak spot, however. It is very poor at killing other enemy infantry batallions, and can and will be easily overrun if there is not adequate infantry support nearby.

Notes:
-One of the toughest infantrymen on the battlefield
-Is fast and well armored
-Very powerful against tanks and structures
-Weak against infantry

I will add the next unit profile later, as I have run out of time here.
I'll be back this afternoon to finish this up.

Hey guys, I know it's been a very long time since I last updated you guys, but I kind of took the holiday season as a break from modding. Now I'm back, and I assure you I am very hard at work on the mod. Already there are 11 new units scheduled for release in the next release version of the mod (BETA 1.2).

Now, I'm going to switch things up a little bit here, and change the style with which I have been showcasing units to you. Instead of a ton of long, boring paragraphs to read and a few screenshots of each unit, I am now going to present each unit to you via a short clip of real unedited ingame footage showcasing the strengths, weaknesses, and special abilities of each unit.

For this, I am going to start out by showcasing the allied's 2 new infantry units, The Allied Grenadier, and the Allied Prism Trooper

Now the Prism trooper is best used to take on heavy anti armor tanks. As you can see, it can destroy up to or even more than twice its own value in rhino tanks, however, you need to bring anti infantry support along with him, and possibly a few of your own tanks, in case he sends APCs at you.

The Grenadier is best used for a flanking attack or a more support-ish role, instead of directly attacking. Since it needs to get in close to fire, try to draw fire away from the grenadiers as they approach the enemy to deliver thier devastating grenades. While it is primarily anti-infantry, it CAN be killed by longer range infantry units, like the GI and the Conscript, and it is secondarily decently powerful against buildings.

Also, as a sidenote, some may notice that my account info is different than that of my previous posts. Somehow my account was "Deleted." I can't log in, it says the user doesn't exist, but I cannot create a new account with the same name, so I made one with a similar name (note the change of only 1 letter).

to Allied Prism Trooper: I was afraid it will be overpowered when I saw those rhinos, but that weakness balances that.
to Grenadier: I suggest you to use some smaller projectile. :p

That was the point of the videos: to show the unit's strengths and weaknesses. Prism troopers rape tanks, but 5 could lose to a mere 5 conscripts.

Hmm, well I'll look into a new projectile for the grenadier. The current one id the projectile from the TS disc thrower
