Story: Yuri never existed. I think I should say that now. Aliens have landed in the Sahara desert, and are now starting to attack nearby settlements.
Mission 1 Video: Incoming transmission: It's raining giant crystals a few miles away! They land and form buildings. Aliens are coming out of them, and they're headed toward our base! We need reinforcements, ASAP! I think they saw us! They're coming straight at us! Send help, now! *Bullet fire* AH! Connection lost.


Well, I don't have much, but I have an incomplete tech tree and some units. Bear with me, I have school, so it'll have slow production. I'll have much more soon.

Why don't you hold off on an official anouncement until you have more pictures and a better description to show us? At this rate, I have no idea whatsoever what kind of MOD this is.

I will say one thing, however; the "Aliens Came to Earth" storyline has been used over and over and over and over again in mods. Try to really think about a nice storyline that doesn't involve aliens crashing down and killing everything, and then the good guys making a desperate comeback. Same thing with the name; that doesn't do you any favors either.

I know that your mod is in the earliest stages of development, but to announce you mod, you at least need to have a good solid foundation and a well planned storyline and a purpose for your mod.

I don't mean to sound really critical or mean here, just giving you some good advice from a fellow modder.

Okay, so you have planned the tech trees, the special tech, and the superweapons. Otherwise we have no idea what your mod is about. You haven't provided us with any info on any of the new units you made, or how you changed current ones. In short, I will give you credit that you did a very nice job on that tech tree slide show, but you need to follow up and give us good descriptions of the mod.

Either that, or give us a playable build of the mod and a readme file and that says it all.

Shit, the SHP Builder screwed with the quality again! It always messes up the GIFs. Luckily, I can get a PNG.

I might make some changes, why? Don't think it's very good? Cause I like it for one of my first buildings.

It isn't bad for your first attempt, but it really badly lacks detail. If it was just an alpha picture that wouldn't be bad, but since you say it is pretty much finished for you, detail is very important.

Also, the building dosen't look like it serves any purpose, and for a faction building, it's tiny. Size dosen't matter as much, but definitely add details that make it look like a kind of powerplant (That it what it is, right?).

TBH, right now, that thing looks like it could be just about anything. Before I read the name, I thought it was a defense tower...

Alright, so you got a little more detail in, that's good, but the role of the building is still undefined. Maybe add power turbines or something that would make the building look like it can generate power and do nothing else outside of its intended purpose.

I like it, but a few too many wires. Also, those extra mini-crystals are kinda out of place. If they were to be there, then they should be partially in the power-turbines.

They are attached to the power turbines, but I think I know what you are trying to get at. Anyways, the building is yours, do whatever you like, but that was just a suggestion and for about 10 minutes of work it doesn't look too bad.

Have fun making that , and hope the final product looks great.

Also, was it your intention for the crystals to be remappable in-game or were they supposed to stay red? Reason I ask is because I tested it and right now, the reactor has remaps (so if you are green, the crystal is green, etc.)
