The sword looks very thin.

It does a little, but I don't think you'd notice in-game (could be wrong right enough :p )

Well, their spears look oddly unpractical...

:p

Other than that, looks great!
Not sure if the capes they wear acctually have a hood though (I've never checked, just noticed your shading there now)

They do look great. :good: My only suggestion would perhaps be to add some dirt and grim to the skin. But that may just be a personal preference.

On the Fountain Guard two things about it. They, going off of movie stills, also have a bit of the belt hanging loose after the clasp just like the Gondor Soldier you did. I can't really tell from the pics you posted but the spear might be off. Concerning size, if the bottom of the spear is touching the ground the blade should start slightly above tip of the wings on the helm. Also, its made entirely out of steel with only a bit of gold color on shaft where the blade begins.

Well I had some different reference and I didn't really had in mind to make it 100% movie style , different references is one of the reasons. :crazed:
The original Fountain Guard had also a belt with a sheath and a sword but I didn't bothered with it at all .

And sorry I cut photos but the model has a normal spear .

Yeah I wasn't sure about the length since the spear wasn't completely in the shot, but the BFME 2 model was the one that had no shield and it had a ridiculously long spear. Just curious about two things. Where did you get your other reference from, and does the cape flow freely or is it just attached to the body?

The spear length, well, it disputable .The cape flows , because it uses the cape SKL of the BFME 2 model. And used the references of some guys that paint statues , who posted big rez photos of them so I could get the shapes more accurate. Also got the proportions and colors of those statues as well , tho I had made some adjustments .
