2) The shield back design can be found on page 125 of The Hobbit, The Battle of the Five Armies Chronicles Art & Design.

Personally I would tone down the alpha channels and turn them into real mesh instead, makes everything look more grounded.

But for models however... I do make Hobbit stuff...

I wanted to keep this hidden longer but yeah, I can't!

elfwip3.jpgelfdone2.jpg

Now that I see the shield texture should be toned down a bit to better match the color of the armor, also the spear is a placeholder and the wings on the head are not quite right, I'll look into that.

If at least 3 people give their feedback on these, I will post high-detail renders of these. (Yes I'm that shameless :p)

Awesome. You are truly great with elves  :xcahik_:

Ok noted these changes and started reworking on them. I agree I used too much alpha on this, I will make the helmet and probably the shoulders without that.

Should have new renders by Wednesday.

Amazing model. I love the colors.

Also, here's a tutorial for displaying alpha channels for fancy max renders:

Thanks for the tip. Couldn't be bothered making a proper render, as well as some rig or something. :p

Edit: Model was donated to THL.

The only variation I know is the grey theme used for Thranduil's Officers. I believe ROR is dong that for THL. Other than that don't think so. Unless I get high and make them all green.

I though that was dark blue?

When you do a Max render, pop a skylight into the scene. It makes the models appear much better without losing anything in quality.

Like I said before, I could do a lot of fancy stuff but couldn't bother, just thrown a basic render. But don't worry I prepared some neat things for this model. :p
