To my experience, it is better and easyer to lay all the layers, including the teamcolor, all in one. Forget why, dho. But when i textured my first model, the deciever, I find that it was the better thing to do.
You also can notice your own errors by altering the color in the team color editor: if some strange color appear, there is a superimposition of textures, to say one (meaning a bad unwrapping).

Hmmm.. problem is the artist doing the work does not have DoW so how would he know how to AP something?
