development cycle but:
How have you managed to make each tank distinct enough (besides amout of
resourse cost) to make everyone build a whole lot of tanks i mean in Ra2
i always used to build only Apocalipses when they ware available making
everythin else obsolete so this might be an even bigger problem here i
mean what will stop me from just buildin only say King tigers?instead of
using Panthers and others as well?is there some development stages to go
through something like say Age of empires or will tanks also consume say
oil while runnin or anything else to make us build a wide array of
vehicules?
And another thing any hereos like Rommel or Patton(possibly put them in desired vehicles?) etc that might give certain bonuses?
Your doing just some owesome work congrats and keep it up mate i`m sure
you`ll land a great job with some computer game company and hopefully get
to tell those guys how to make real ww2 games
PS:Will there be any super weapons say like atom bombs? will there be
need to do any research to get acces to tanks and buildings?that would be
cool something like say a expanded hearts of iron game
Please oh please make the Ratte a playable vehicule i always wanted to
see that in a game ,also can we get an aproximative release date say Q1
2009 or Q3 or what ever ?

Somehow most of my Ra2 games almost always ended up in a build build build until you over power your oppenent and then rush them so that kind of takes that feeling of achivement away if you`ve played Starcraft or Warcraft you`ll understand that basicly you can still win or give a decisive blow with fed units and this is what i think Ra2 lacked the most which was evened a bit by the choronoshpere and the iron curtain was thinking maybe a V1 and V2 on german side would force the oponent to get out of a possible shell as well as longer range altilery or somethin and maybe some SS paratroops and allied equivalents that could set charges on buildings and stuff ohh and maybe if it`s possible some flamethrowers would spice up and diversify things
PS: For the super weapons i was thinking maybe you can give the americans the Abomb give the germans a V3(that hill gun or possibly that 1500 tones Dora on wheels) give the japs a Kamikaze attack(like have 20-30 zero`s hit the target if u understand what i mean) haven`t tought about the rest yet but i`m sure i can think of something

You said you wanted some criticism here it is
On a side note altough your mod is absolutely amazing and all comprehensive i think you kind of over exagerated with it`s size just a little tiny bit i mean who the heck wants to play the french or japs and even brits let`s face it 90% of all the guys will want to play either Germany,Russia or USA so i think it would have been much more interesting and faster to just build these 3 sides with all theyr prewar late war weapons and make a 10 map campaigin for each this would have allowed you to release it sooner be able to twick the sides as much as possible after a rock net stone formula(startcraft/warcraft) and it would have been of much more effect to realease a later addon adding the other nations the british french and japs with 10 other missions each i think that would be of a much greater impact
And another thing why do you waste all your time building 10 versions a vehicle?i mean say like the T-34 mod 41 mod 43 and other different iterations for the same models, are all these mod`s of each vehicules be in the game or do you want to do an complete virtual enciclopedia of all ww2 weapons or what else is there point?
I mean why not just cut time by making just a single mod for each vehicle?

Plus after this mod is done Mig could take his time to release a sequal adding the 3 other sides(British,France and Japs) this would make it much easier to balance them all(since you already balanced the top 3 sides you can tune the other 3 to them since they are weaker refering to france and japs) and build anticipation and a new fan base which has been dieing due to prolonged development ,based an a succesful prior release of D-day with just the 3 factions America Germany and Russia.
Just my 2 cents.
PS:Hope to hear from Migeater soon it`s sad i haven`t heard from him for more then a week now :(

Nothing is going to change how & when I release D-day, it will be done when I'm happy with it & not before.

I guess living in a consumerism society means you expect modifications made by individuals to be released as fast as all those snazzy new games which everyone stops playing after like a day or so.
Also last time I checked WW2 wasn't just about 3 countries, it was afterall a "world war" and this mod goes into the early cold war tech as well.

D-day is my hobby, I'm not interested in fans or fame I do this because it's fun. As Allied General once said D-day is my toy box where I keep all my toy soldiers.
So what you really meant is that you don't care for the people who supported you Almost from the beginning to end and want a realease or some kind of playable beta, for example Wilmet.
Why build/make this mod and make it public if you will just keep in your "toy box."

Like he said, he does it for fun. I make maps for fun and I don't care whether I get 1 download or 1 million downloads, it's only for fun.

Im sure he appreciates the support, but he doesnt expect it. Thats what he is saying... He's not making the mod for the people, but if they like it along the way then great.

I keep IP blocking ppl that post crap in the shout box but it doesn't seam to help :/
simple solution is to just get rid of that damn thing, it's only a magnet for every kiddie left unsupervised to come and spew dumbass comments to try and get some attention.

hey...YEAH!
I mean no, NO! Frankly Mig doesn't owe me anything (since I'm used as an example) I'm just cheerleading from the sides, and enjoying the ride waiting for the eventual payoff.
keep the faith
