She's arriving the morning of the day that IRS's mage character is arriving. I think that's just before the battle.

Yep, that's the morning before the battle. Syphax is out by late afternoon, Tyr attacks by night.

And Byron and Rindar are, unfortunately, going to have to scrap their plan because the attack will begin while they're trying to get to Ouranos.

Athos, just made a slight edit to your last post: the war is between Ateni and Sherat. Spathis is just a town under Ateni's jurisdiction, you know, sends tribute, gets protection, that kind of thing. It's an important town, but it's not a major district in its own right like Sherat, Ateni, Aiyris or any of the other cities. I put all the big ones on the map if you want to check. Hopefully over Christmas I'll have time to put together a more detailed map of Mirmida.

News for all: I've got an extremely busy week ahead of me, so I probably won't post anything. Two essay deadlines, a final dissertation meeting before Christmas holidays, packing, some other minor university work needing doing, it all adds up. Most likely see you next week, but feel free to carry on without me. I'm sure you can all see where the various roads are taking you in the short term.

Hey kids, guess what? I finally made it home after 9 hours on the road for what should have been a max 3-hour journey (every time it snows the whole damn country goes to shit) only to find that our wireless hub has been acting up recently and my laptop isn't receiving it. I'm posting this from the ancient monolithic desktop. I may hopefully get some way towards fixing the hub tomorrow; if not, my Christmas-time posting habits will be, at best, sporadic. As such, I'm trying to get on with writing Chapter 4. (It's going to be huge.)

Anyway, as I'm sure I've mentioned before, feel free to push the story on. In Heading East and M&M I have laid out the plans, and in TNW it's all on Athos and Rafv at the moment anyway. You don't need me for this.

Murad said that the plan is to besiege Aiyris, which will involve a hefty battle against whatever forces Aiyris can muster, which will likely just be militia at this point. Our wee band of heroes will be heading into Aiyris proper, however, on a potential mission of subterfuge or something. You figure that part out, the important bit is that we get inside the city.

Guys, guess what? I've finally finished with all that university shit, at least for a few weeks. Anyway, now I'm going to skip forward a few scenes in various chapters and see how we're doing, because the next part could have got a bit dull. I'm going to go write those various scenes now.

Hope y'all had a good Christmas and New Year and whatever. Also, SWG, don't you live somewhere around the part of Australia that's now full of sharks and sea anemones? If so, here's hoping you survived and have access to a computer.

Yeah, i'm in Queensland, but luckily I am fortunate enough to live in part of the 20% of the country that didn't do a submarine impersonation.I did go out and volenteer at a... volunteering centre(i'm not sure what it would be called) that was packaging and shipping out donations to effected areas, but other than that life went on pretty well as normal for me.

The place where i'm going to be doing uni got flooded, but i went down there the other day and it looked pretty well cleaned up. Its in the middle of a big parkland called southbank(which as its name indicates is right on the southern bank of the brisbane river in the city), and most of that was closed down as they worked on rebuilding it all there (its a big park with pools and stuff everywhere, so flood waters did a lovely job of messing it all up)

But thanks for asking. I'm so lucky where I live, we don't ever seem to get the really bad stuff.

Clarification... do you mean that he thinks they were assassinated, or that they were the assassins? Because if he chooses option 2, he's really psychic...

He's fearing the first one, which I found mildly amusing given the truth of the matter.

Edit: I've now rephrased it to clarify matters. Anyway, how about y'all get some real posting done?
