Hmmm...they should be humans, I was describing their armor as coated with ice and spikey and all of those details. I have a closer look tomorrow to make sure it all matches up.

I think you should take it to the cursed ice soldiers, Maybe have the military to have been overthrown by some sort of ice queen and cursed all the men in the village or something, But what are you going to do with your god, At the moment I'm thinking of a giant ice golem, and is the ice going to be smooth and armored or sharp and jagged?

More buglike? In appearance, you mean? Or do you just not like the scorpion king. I was thinking about that, and scorpions don't really fit. I don't think bugs really team up with scorpions, much. I'll do some research and run up a few sketches of the Juroka.

Edit: Yes, I read about scorpions. They eat insects, as I expected. It doesn't really make sense for them to team up with the Juroka, then. Perhaps a sandstorm power instead.

Alright, scorpions removed. I also added a feature for units to eat trees to heal. It seemed fitting.

I suppose if we get the troll grab tree function and change it so he gets healed instead, maybe we could pull it off.

I'm no coder but that might be something to look at if it hasn't been already

Use the troll's pick-up powers for trees (and the transport contain module). But to empty the container, the carrier needs an aura the effects all objects of the KindOf = CLUB in a small radius, giving them a specific Custom ModelCondition (like USER_6) for a few seconds. The CLUB object (one or all of the tree-objects in naturetrees.ini) then needs AIUpdateInterface and an AILuaEventsList. There you can trigger a self destruct when the conditions +USER_6 +PASSENGER are met to remove the CLUB from the container.
This has not been tested. :p

Either way, it needs to remove the tree and heal the unit. It seems possible to me, but I'm not a very advanced coder.

I have tried a lot of ways for doing this for Mumakil(the smaller version of the mumakil) in Lone Wolf.
Sul's idea is theoretical there's no guaranty that'll work.

I did get it to half work I couldn't make it heal though.

All right, my Lindrim faction is almost complete and now I shall start on two factions based on Stuart Hill's Icemark series.

About the faction

Name of faction
Icemark

History - Not required
A small country in the northeast, Icemark has been plagued by enemies: the Island Buccaneers from the east and west, the Land of the Ghosts in the north, and the mighty Polypontian empire in the south. When the Polypontus attacks, Icemark is forced to ally with the Land of the Ghosts and the Snow Leopards from the Hub of the World in order to survive. Although their King, Redrought, is killed in this attack, his daughter Queen Thirrin manages to push back the invaders with the help of her new allies.

Describe the themes
The "fashion" and design of the "architecture"
-Units

They wear leather armor and furs, since they live in a cold climate.

-Architecture

Rough but sturdy wooden buildings.

The aunt of Thirrin, Elemnestra is loyal to her younger master, and fights valiantly agains the Polypontian invaders.

Sub Hero 2
Oskan
Mount
Healing Hands (Heals surrounding heroes, like Athelas)

Call Lightning (Like Gandalf's lightning sword, but with larger area and higher and quicker damage)
Oskan, Thirrin's husband, is a powerful mage, but he specializes in healing rather than dealing death.

Main Hero
Thirrin Lindenshield
Mount
Queen of the Icemark (good leadership)
Axe Throw (ranged attack)
Cavalry of the Icesheets (Summons a group of cavalry and Snow Leopards with no timers)
Bravery (Surrounding units are immune to fear)

I guess... I'll have to reread the faction, think about the powers, forget them, try to remember them, write them down, lose the sheet of paper, find it after 6 weeks, and then completely forget about it... Or I could just do it now... :p

EDIT: I did it now... :p For the 3rd tier, how about a power called "Dust Devil" which summons one of those gimpy brown tornadoes for a long while? ;)

This mod is one awesome idea ;)

I apologize an advance if this faction contains elements already mentioned in another faction, I just wanted to throw this idea out as it crossed my mind. I hope you like it, feedback and ideas are appreciated, of course :p

About the faction

The Aldrar Circle

History

The Aldrar are an ancient order of advanced spellcasters. They have strong ties to the Earth and live in community with nature. It pains them to take up arms, but they believe the other factions have defiled it with their never-ending conflict and therefore must perish in order to make the world a place worth living in again.

As they are essentially peaceful, their strength is not the offensive. However, they command powerful earth elementals who can endure a lot of punishment before falling apart.

Describe the themes
The "fashion" and design of the "architecture"
-Architecture
The Aldrar buildings bear a distinct resemblance to Aztec temples. Their buildings are very strong, which makes rushing the Aldrar difficult.

- Units
The Aldrar sorcerers are not as clearly aztec. They are clad mostly in dark green and gold and carry staves, and sport impressive golden headwear. No feathers, like Aztecs or Mayas had, though, and no animal-skin.

The elementals are composed of several rocks held together by magic. Classic earth golems.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Building names and description
Castle
A large Aztec pyramid.

Expansions:

* Small Summoning Shrine: Guarded by three lesser elementals.
* Large summoning shrine: Guarded by one greater elemental.
* Shrine of Shattering: A Shrine that can emit one small earthquake every minute as long as there enemies in the vicinity. These earthquakes deal minor damage, but throw enemies to the ground. The elementals are immune to their effects.

Upgrades:

* Sacred Ground (750): Adds a texture of tiles around the fortress (with some grass coming through the tiles), buildings on this ground have 30% more armor.
* Vitality Shrine (1000): This artifact heals units near to the fortress
* Shrine of Knowledge (1500): All Summoners are 10% cheaper for each fortress with this upgrade. Additionally, heroes cost less to recruit and revive in this fortress.
* Summoning Shrine (1500): All summoners recharge their spells 10% faster
* Fortified Foundations (2000): Increases armor
* High Tower (2500), can summon a barrage of meteors

Barracks
Arcane Sanctum

This building recruits the elemental summoners and researches their upgrades.

Resource production
Earth Temple

A small chapel-like building where the Aldrar meditate in order to strengthen their magical powers and thus summon more elementals.

Defense Tower

Node of Punishment

A tower with an large, floating onyx on top. It does not attack with arrows, but casts stones from the sky on foes (no barrages, just individual stones).

Blacksmith/Lumber mill
Sacred Foundry

Here, the following upgrades may be researched:

- Charged Staff (1000), may be given to all Spellcasters for 300 and makes them recharge their summons 30% faster. The Summoner receives a golden staff instead of a wooden one.

- Blessed Onyx (1500), may be given to all Spellcasters for 500, allowing to summon Onyx Elementals (black) instead of Earth Elementals (brown), which have higher armor

Healing, Armour & exp bonus Statue
Shrine of Power

Heals units and empowers nearby elementals.

Something important about all their buildings: They all sport an upgrade for 100 that makes the building reflect some damage on it's attackers.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Unit names and Description
Worker/Builder
Stoneworker

A simple porter, nothing special about him.

Soldier

The Aldrar don't have normal 'soldiers'. Instead, they recruit single summoners from the Temple, which can call Elementals to their aid. Summoners don't come in hordes, but in single units.

There are two summoners:

Lesser Summoner (Sanctum Lvl1, 300), 40 CP

Clad in a green robe, carrying a wooden staff. May summon hordes of lesser elementals (8 per Horde), earth-creatures slightly larger than a man. They last for 1 minute, while his spell recharges in 70 seconds. With upgrades, it therefore recharges fast enough that one summoner can control two hordes at the same time.

The elementals deal mediocre damage, but are extremely tough to kill. They mostly exist to hold the enemy at bay while he is killed by the Greater Elementals or Earthshakers.

Greater Summoner (Sanctum Level 3, 800), 60 CP

Decidedly more pompous, with many golden ornaments. May summon single Greater Elementals, hulking creatures of stone larger than trolls. They last for 120 secondes, while his spell recharges in 160. They can both deal and absorb tremendous amounts of damage, but are quite slow.

In addition, greater summoners can heal themselves and all units around them.

The Greater Summoner takes the 'Elite Unit' slot.

Note: Summoners are NOT like Thrallmasters. Their units are seperate from them. Number crunching regarding the time their summons last and recharge may be done by someone with more expertise in this game than myself

Archer
Earthshakers (Lvl2 Barracks, 500)

Single, powerful mages which have a weapon toggle:

They can either attack by casting down single rocks from the sky like the towers (strong against units), or by casting small-area earthquakes that throw units to the ground in a small radius and deal strong damage to buildings, but none to units.
