On PR 1.1 all of the production, planetary rotation, and fleet movement stopped suddenly, however the camera and interface still worked.
I tried pausing and unpausing, changing game speed, and saving and reloading but nothing would fix it. :p

But aside from this 1.1 is awesome

Hmm... the next time that happens, could you check your RAM usage? That's exactly the thing Supreme Commander does once you hit the address limit.

<DevXen> Today I was at the store and saw a Darth Vader action figure that said "Choking Hazard." It was great.

Heh, I've hit that before when testing the limits of EaW, but you get a blue screen memory overflow instead. Whatever happened to Sion is much weirder - it's something I've never seen before .

In that case, if anybody else has this happen, please note what OS you're using.
I think the odd freeze and the blue screen might be one difference between Vista and XP: Vista is much better at recovering from crashes.

Oh, I totally overloaded it to get it to blue screen. You think GFFA is bad? The campaign I had it load was worse :).

Oh, I basically took GFFA and just started copy and pasting. Nothing special.
