You did read the part where it says that "any 'SPAM SPAM SPAM' topics will be removed", right? :evgr:

I'm sorry, but "leet" is terrible, an abomination of the internet(worse then lol cats, as atleast they can be amusing, unlike leet, which is just a pain), and im sure that, even if i could read it, i would still find it horrible.

please, just use real english,
|\| 0 |\| 3 0 F 7 |-| 1 2 2 |-| 1 7

(not only is it extreamly hard to read, but its very hard to type too)

Just save everyone time/effort and type normally... please.

If you know 'leet' is used by noobs and dickheads why did you bring this up? Although I feel I should congratulate you, you have managed to unite an entire forum in hatred of something.

LOL, he was quoting me with the n00bs and dickheads bit, Vort :thumbsupsmiley:

What I said was:
What is your problem? Everyone knows 1337 is teh sux, and used only by n00bs, dickheads and 4chan. These 3 groups are usually 1 and the same.

Those were words!? This is a serious linguistic phenomenon, at some point on my course I assume I'll have to study it. I really hope nobody touts this as the future of the English language, because I would have to kill them, or possibly the entire race to stave off certain idiocy. Seriously, who invented this shit?

I don't think it was 'invented' per se, but rather just a 'dud' in the course of human evolution. Like the pinky toe.

EDIT: Or the appendix, male nipples, etc. 'leet speak' just fits right in the list of God's fuck-ups :thumbsupsmiley:

Ah, you mean like a platypus, only significantly less entertaining. Why then does it still exist? Where is the survival value? Is it quicker to write, or to read? Does it achieve something regular English cannot? Can you even write as many words in leet as you can in English?
I hope I am a good enough writer that some day dwarves kill me and drink my blood for wisdom.

Please note this table is to be used as a guide and not a full translation tool. Leet is ever-changing and not all replacements will, or can, be included.

Would somebody please explain to me the point of learning 1337 instead of, you know, a language people actually speak? Like Spanish, or Arabic?
