It's a well-done model, but I must agree with Valaquenta. It looks too much like a Medieval English castle, but not a citadel for Tolkien's Elves. :)

btw, you probably need to change the name of the thread now.... :xd:

I disagree. It looks way too much like medieval castle when you compare it to Weta's design for Third Age, non-fortified settlements. But that's not what this is.

I love it, good work Morgoth.

Your mind is saturated by common fantasy themes I think.

On the contrary, the only pieces of fantasy I've read is LOTR, the Inheritance Trilogy, and the first two books of the Wheel of Time. LOTR is also the only one that I've re-read and own.

For now, I'll let it go. :) Once skinned, it may look much better. :xd:

Looks good to me. Keep in mind that the First Age Noldor were WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY different from the Third Age Sindar (and Elrond/Imladris) we saw in the films :)

True some of these guys have a saturate mind and True Tolkien was in England and this is how he imagined things but i agree looks like a man Style of Arhitecture .It will be perfect for a Man fort . For elves must have circular long circular towers or something near that .The elven Arhitecture In my opinion is based on the Circle Form while this model is made only by Squares .

It looks cool, though i agree with Valaquenta10: It does look too squared off for elves.

And shouldn't this be in the Four Ages news forum?

I agree. Nevertheless, let's see how does it look in the end. I've changed the main gate and I have started to skin it today. Probably I'll show you a final version tomorrow.

And shouldn't this be in the Four Ages news forum?

Yes, but that was just a bit preview, a "showcase", as the name of the forum is.

That's it:

However, details of the texture still need some work, like dirt, flags, and improve the symbol of the door ( I had no ideas for it so I drew it quickly). I'll show you an ingame shot with all of these when it's done.

What's it? I don't see anything on the post.... Unless you mean something else? :p

Edit: Never mind! It just took a while to load. Sorry! It is a great model. If it's attached to a cliff like the dwarves'buildings, it would be great for nargothrond. :thumbsupsmiley: Maybe you could round off the edges and change the towers to a more circular shape?

Very nice Nargothrond. A few Elven-style banners would add all the Elvish look it needs, I think.

At first look you might say it looks like a prison.

But the Elves of the first age were a lot diferent from those of the second or third age.I don't know what kind of fortress was this so I think it's good .Few symbols of the Elves on it and probably some Wood Arhitecture on some places.

Anyway, don't forget that it's Nargothrond, it was a hidden and underground fortress.
