For the first stage it's important to get our mods in there that's why there is unlimited votes.
The second stage is where you pick your favorites

The problem with modding BFME is that if you have a lot of great ideas, you'll often find the engine doesn't support them. We have no real access to the inner workings of the engine, unlike many other games where you can actually do programming in a mod.

Take for example RA, which is the oldest, slowest but highest quality mod around. Unfortunately, despite the great skills of it's creators, it will always look a little bit amateuristic because of those stupid things in the engine you can't change (like new factions missing icons or a "movie" in the skirmish screen). That scares away players who aren't experienced enough to ignore those things.

It's exactly this which, already some years ago now, made me start the OpenWar Project and subsequently create the Victory Engine.

and THAT's a real shame. but it won't hurt to try to recruit....

I was personally, extremely disappointed to see that none of the years RELEASED mods actually got any recognition. There was some great material released this year, but it seems there are too many fanbois drooling over 'remake X' that will potentially never see the light of day, to care about the cool stuff that came out this year :'(

Oh well it was to be expected.
Perhaps we can invade EALA and steal us some source code :p
WOW there's some zero hour mods isn't that game ancient?
And the same engine as ours?

We can take some comfort in the fact the one Lord of the rings mod made for medieval total war 2.

Thats because its a total conversion mod... (at least as far as i know) :p
Most people, at least i think, think that we do not make alot of new things with our mods, because BFME is LOTR and we are making mods that are LOTR :p (Hopes at least someone understands what i mean...) ;)

I'd put TEA, SEE and RJ up... RA for unreleased...

Isn't it supposed to be mod of 2008... MADE in 2008? Is TEA even avaliable as a choice?

Anyways, at least we even HAVE a modding community. As far as I know, E.A. wanted, at one point of time, to shut out modders from the engine completely and close it down, essentially banning modding.
