Hey there,

I just got "ROTWK" the other day, and I have editted it and everything is going great, but there is one small problem, I am trying to edit War of the Rings part of the game, And I made it so that when I create a unit it has a CP of 0 but there is a problem, after I move the unit into a Hero, the banner of where the unit was remains there, can anyone tell me whats wrong? Secondly I was wondering is there a way to make it so after I create a unit, all the units that have been put in the build catagory will be built in one turn?

This bug happens every once while, when you change the CP size of "army's Banner." But do not interfere in any way your game, man. A flag will hang in an empty your pc ...

The second question: I don't know...

Changing the subject: how do I use the button to select all the heroes (and one small round button that is next to the portrait of the first heroes of the screen) for my ARNOR faction?

But I still am wondering how do you make it so that your army can be created in one turn instead of 5?

Well obviously robnkarla is one of the few who have much knowledge on modding War of the Ring mode so you could send him a PM asking him the question and just wait. If he doesn't answer then hope someone comes and helps you out. I doubt you'll get banned for asking him a question over a message, most you'll get is a "Please do not ask me question through the PM system" message. I'll try to dig around and see if i can find something.

Perhaps changing

BuildTime = 1

to desire turn could do what you wanted. I don't do much WOTR modding so i'm not an expert on it and i didn't understood your question very clearly so was this what you wanted, to change the turns it takes to build a unit?

T.W.O. I wanted to make it so lets say, I have 2 untis of Gondorian Swordsmen, and 3 units of Gondor Archers, and 1 unit of Gondor Horsemen, I want to say after I click end turn all the units I wanted to create are built at once.

Is that more specific?

EDIT: So I think you answered my question, thanks man. But still, I want to know if there is a way to make it so that after I create a unit the banner doesn't stay there. Its getting annoying.

Shouldn't you change the
BuildTime = 1
to
BuildTime = 0
Im not sure that does what you want, i have not done much War of the Ring modding myself :crazed:

Just tried that and it doesn't work.

Figures, you can never do somthing simple in theses games to get the desiered effect. ya know.

You can do it, but it's not easy. :crazed:

Let's take an example:

First, check the file:

data\ini\campaigns\common\livingworldbuildableunits.inc

Find this:

LivingWorldPlayerArmy
	Name = GondorFighterArmy
	DisplayNameTag = LWA:MenOfTheWest
	ArmyEntry
		ThingTemplate = GondorFighterHorde
		Quantity = 1
	End
End



Then, find in this file "GondorFighterArmy":

data\ini\livingworldbuildings.ini

This is something like that:

ArmyToSpawn
			PlayerArmy = GondorFighterArmy
			Icon = MoWArmyIcon
			IconSize = Small
			PalantirMovie = Palantir_509
			ConstructButtonImage = BGBarracks_Soldiers
			ConstructButtonTitle = CONTROLBAR:LW_Unit_GondorFighterHorde
			ConstructButtonHelp = CONTROLBAR:LW_ToolTipBuild_GondorFighterHorde
			BuildTime = 1
		End

Copy and paste it. Change the "PlayerArmy = GondorFighterArmy" shield to "PlayerArmy = GondorGreatArmy"

Now, go back to data\ini\campaigns\common\livingworldbuildableunits.inc

Copy and paste it:

LivingWorldPlayerArmy
	Name = GondorGreatArmy
	DisplayNameTag = LWA:MenOfTheWest
	ArmyEntry
		ThingTemplate = GondorFighterHorde
		Quantity = 1
	End
End

Change "Name = GondorFighterArmy" to "PlayerArmy = GondorGreatArmy".

Then, you just have to add this as much as you want:

ArmyEntry
		ThingTemplate = GondorFighterHorde
		Quantity = 1
	End

And change the thingtemplate (GondorArcherHorde, MordorFighterHorde, etc.). I think you can understand how it works with a basic knowledge in WotR modding. Good luck. :p

Thanks man, but I have another question, is it possible to make cutom heros actual Heros that can attack regions and other heros just like for instance Boromir?

Yes, check the tutorial on T3A, but instead of having Arwen as Heroes, do it with CaH, and you're good. :p

I am also to edit the order of historical wotr. As soon as I finish my "beta version" of my mod, I will dedicate to them. The heroes plan to start the game in certain places (eg: the fellowship of the ringin Rivendell, Théoden in Rohan, Faramir next to Minas Tirith, etc. ..) and planned to attack a particular location (like gothmog, and the witch king nazgulz attack Minas Tirith). I already gave a look at that part, but you need to learn more moving. Next week I will "torture" you with such questions, can expect .. hehehehe

ah, sorry for making that question in this topic. At the time I even saw q bullshit and created a topic just for that. But, basically, what files should I move to do these things with the heroes in WOTR?
