I went in to my local EB games today and I what did I see LOTR Conquest.
Unfortunately the control was busted and I am broke so I didn't get to play it.
I must admit EA are pretty good for global releases.
The graphics on the 360 version aren't impressive as I thought they would be they look like last gen graphics.

Yeah, the game is released (At least that is what my friend told me today), i don't know about Europe but I'm pretty sure there isn't much difference over release dates. Conquest was a good game in my opinion, I would give it 4/5 stars if i could. Just some gameplay and graphics weren't like i thought it would be but a pretty good game overall.

Yeah.....from what I've read so far, the gameplay is the same as the demo (clunky), and ai is almost non-existent except for on the campaign. 8v8 on Helm's? No way.

It's getting slaughtered in the reviews :wink_new:

MEC as been keeping up to date, it's got 2,4,4,5,6.5 and 7 so far I think.

TBH, I'm finding it pretty funny. Had they listened to fans on the forum, it would be a much better game (some of the issues arising in the reviews have been concerning forumers for months). Plus there's the down-right lying/misleading, features and modes dropped, promises of epicness and "the most heroes in a LOTR game" etc. This game had a huge amount of potential, it should have worked.

And the top two scores came from IGN and Gamespot, and no one cares what they say anymore :wink_new:

Yeah. If only they even had a clue. All they had to do was listen to their own forums. Just including more AI would have made it tons better, from what I've heard. A lock-on for melee classes and you know, heros would have been nice too.......

Judging from the demo on PS3, I'd give it 5 out of 10. Might be more impressed when I buy the whole game, but I doubt I'd rate it above 7 tops =p

I got it, I like it, im not sure why so many people do not like it ;)
One of the few reasons may be that you can only do the campaign with 2 people...
Another one may be that there are not alot of different 'classes'.
I personally like the Campaign more than the Instant action :wink_new:

I want it! Why do stores close at 5PM and not at 6PM??

I got the game, i really that it could have been so much better than it is.

The gameplay = 7
graphics look good
realism = 4

I played it for 20 minutes or so and it got kinda boring afterwards since i would just press the same things over and over. The campaign is good since you can really go in deep into LOTR maps (Minas Tirith, etc) but other than that, the multiplayer was annoying since people would just be Mage class and nothing else.
I'm gonna return the game, i was really expecting more from it and it would have been better the way it is if it would not have had so many glitches.
