I'm in the process of adding the Lucrehulk-class Battleship to the mod, but all the models that I've found don't have all the bones necessary for me to add the weapons that I want it to have. I have no modeling experience, but I have plenty of free time and I'm not bad with computers. Does anyone knows of a tutorial out there explaining how to do this? If not, can someone explain it to me? (if its not TOO difficult, of course, I don't want anyone to write a two hour post just because of me).

Thank you

How many bones do you need? I can add a few basic bones POSSIBLY if I use Blender.

About ten bones. Do you want me to send you the model? I'll send you an image too with the exact points of the bones I want.

What formats are we dealing with?

I was under the impression that only 3Ds Max could edit EaW models... well unless you save them in another format.

Blender's good like that. I believe I could get it in and out of .3ds fairly quickly.

.alo, but I have 3ds Max, so if you want me to transform it, just ask.

I might be able to get it done today. Just mention where the bones need to go, and I'll give it a shot.

I need about 5 bones located on the core ship, and about 10 bones located around the circumference of the ring carrier. I don't mind where the bones of the core ship are located. However, I'm not able to attach the file for some reason. Can you give me your e-mail?

So it works on XP, but not Vista?

For me, at least. Anyway, to add hardpoints, you need to go to the create tab, then helpers, and then click on "point".

Did you add the bones, or use mine?

Hy! Can someone tell me where are the model files and what are their extensions, and how can I open them with 3ds max?

Use FinalBIG to extract the .ALO files from the .MEG files in the Data folder, then Mike.nl's ALO tools to import them into 3DS Max.
