While I originally wanted Revora to be a huge modding network when I've got administrative powers, it is clear that this community alone is more than modding and we have to get used to the reality here.
It doesn't make much sense to give administrative powers to non-gaming divisions leaders, promote them in the news, network bar and external forums and then we say that this is simply a modding network. It was always made to be a creativity hosting network...

What about; instead of thinking of Revora as having a purpose or vision, it has policies.
It's very hard to define a vision, as it's all about hope for the future.
It's hard to give Revora a purpose, because it's already so diverse.
Maybe Revora would work better with a collection of policies.
A policy to deal with each situation the network encounters.
Revora's downtime policy:
To try to limit download as much as possible. To announce known forthcoming downtime in advance.
- that's just for the latest news post, but a policy could be made for each things Revora does.
more on purpose:
America has a citizenship test, but Britain does not, because all the peoples of Britain have no common interest. You can't have a citizenship test based around someone's knowledge of a cup of tea

It has worked only with policies during all this time. People had different visions and they were often sabotaged by other visions from other people. If the network has a defined goal and everyone tries to reach it, things will progress in a fairly better way.

I'm working on the technical side of things. Dunno if anything is going on for the other sides.
By the way, I think that, if we expand to cover more games, we should try getting some for which modding involves actual programming, not just editing some INI files.

You don't know half of what's been going on behind-the-scenes. There've been some changes, expect an update today or tomorrow.

Yeah, a sign that work is getting done. But I too am highly interested in what our vision and purpose is. If I'm to promote Revora as a brand to the masses outside the forums, then it would help to know exactly what the brand is these days. I can't just go up to random posters on other sites and say "come to Revora. We don't know what the fuck we're doing. We don't know what the fuck we want. Come join us.". It kinda loses it's pinch somehow.
Hostile is a cunt.
Thought I'd have that here to save time.

Caspa, you must promote Revora divisions for public interested on them rather than Revora itself. Revora is a community and an agglomeration of sites. The contents that interests the users are inside the divisions. Revora ensure that these divisions have quality and enforces the brand Revora. You shouldn't try to promote Revora as a place that creates random things, otherwise it won't go anywhere.
