Im glad you guys sorted that out.

@ Gfire, the slope is still in progress and it hasnt been easy to get it to match, I dont want to elevate it too much because of advantages for archers. Im still carving away at different portions of it to get a better look, there isnt mutch to show because it just a mess.

Well, I think if those advantages were they in the movie, they should be in the map. You'd have to offset it with outposts or something, though, to make it fair.

I don't think Edoras will ever look as good as in the film from the default camera angle in wb. I can't wait to see it with the RJ cam.

Great job on the map, though. It looks terrific.
Greetings, community.

Theodred was buried along the road? :p Somehow, I missed that. I thought his barrow was in the middle of a field somewhere, though... :xcahik_:

Careful. This link is DANGEROUS. Do NOT click it. This one, however, is fine.

In the films he had a tomb among the Kings. However, in the books he followed the tradition of princes that died in battle - being buried where he had fallen. In this case, a rocky hill in the River Isen.

This Photo is above the gate used for edoras in the film, you can see the road leading from it, hence why i chose to put the road like that. You will also notice that there appear to be mounds or circular areas on one side of this road. I assumed they were burial mounds.

Posted Image

The next Photo is the funeral of Theodred coming out the gate and down the road.

Posted Image

Once again I assumed that this road leads down along the tombs to the end where in the film we see Theoden mourning the loss of his son. I believe edoras can be seen in that shot to the left. I will try and locate a shot of the scene.

EDIT: I found a good shot, my rendition is accurate... but I need to shrink my mounds.

Ooooh, with TT's new Rohan structures in there, and a nice RjCam Sky, we'll have a digital replica of the movie version :good:

I'm imaging the upcoming Rohan faction defending Edoras!! Do you know that Peter Jackson's original script has an attack on Edoras as the reason for the Rohirrim exodus to Helm's Deep?

I can't wait to play it!!!!

I actually enjoyed Edoras in Battle for Middle-earth 1. It was a challenge to take all that out. Be even funner if you could defend it as Rohan. I look forward to this map as well!

Pretty funny coincidence that the previous post was feb 2nd, and this was feb 3rd - but a year in between :p

What's the current status of this map? Were you allowed to use the models made by ttandc?
