I'd like to introduce you my mod in progress - Rise of Sauron.

As the name suggest this singleplayer addon is completely revolving around Sauron who just reclaimed the One Ring and attempts to cover all the lands with darkness. Deep in Mordor Frodo and Sam were slain on their way to the Mount Doom and the power of the Dark Lord was restored.

In the opening mission the Men of the West suffer a great loss at the Black Gate. The tide has turned and the free people must now retreat and prepare to defend their realms. The story can now begin ...

The work started fairly recently, my aim is to add a whole new evil campaign with approximately 6 singleplayer missions.

Featuring:

  • Fast paced epic missions
  • Top quality cinematics scenes
  • Completely voice narrated
  • A whole new tale
The missions are in progress, I'll post some screens once I'm happy with how they look. For now enjoy the new shellmap and logo I made for the mod:

Besides this introduction I'd like to apply for a subforum. I've been making singleplayer maps and BFME movies since fall 2005 (maps like Battle for Lorien or Fall of the Iron Crown) and became better since then.

Funny thing...I didn't recognize your avatar and didn't check the name of the poster, but I saw the screen and thought, damn, that's some Dre@mer quality stuff. :p Downloading the trailer.

:p I thought it's about time to change the image. It's not a trailer exactly, just a showcase of the new menu.

Yoda, tutorials are for noobs :p. And anyone who can find a modding community like Revora can probably find out how to build the buildings and units in the game.

He propably meant more advanced stuff like modelling and skinning but the answer is no. Only very basic coding like adding cinematic objects along with new audio and logos are gonna be involved - this is an one man show right now and I can't afford to spend time learning these things.

Actually, I meant any missions under the tutorial section, since it has the bfme2 shell map. Like, a little prologue or something.

Not sure what I'll do with the tutorial section, the primary goal is having a working campaign, then I'll see what can be done next ...

I just don´t find words to describe what I feel. I think it´s the best way to introduce in the "if this happened - it would lead to..." topic. The video is truly amazing :thumbsupsmiley: But I´ve got one question: How did u do the fire?

Epic Dre@mer Saga, in mod form. What could be better? (other than in two mod forms, but that's probably asking too much :thumbsupsmiley:)

I love the music in the trailer... the string masterpiece in Gollum's Song never fails to send a chill down my spine. I really want the musical score for it now...

If any new mod has the potential to succeed, this is it. Best of luck dreamer, this deserves to be hosted, I can't imagine how cool you could make these missions :wink_new: Oh, and that trailer is chilling...
