Hey guys

I apologise if this has been addressed before, but from the searches I completed I couldn't find the solution I was looking for on the forum...

I want to create a fortress skirmish map of Lothlorien from the one that was used in the Evil Campaign in BFME2, with Caras Galadhon as one player's fortress. (Like for example the House of Elrond as the fortress in Rivendell).

I've extracted the relevant files from maps.ini, and imported them into WB. I just have a couple of questions:

How do I code the map so that a faction's fortress is not built by the builders at the start of the skirmish?
How do I set Caras Galadhon as a fortress rather than just a pretty piece of scenery?
Will this fortress map automatically adjust the player's startmoney in game? (They always have less when playing from the fortress map starting position)

Or, alternatively, is there a ridiculously simple way of converting a 'mission' map to a skirmish that I'm missing?

The only easy way I can think to do would be to create a barracks off the border of the map on team player 1 and get rid of player 1's standarf fort with a beacon start. Then you script that when the fortress explodes, the barracks off map also explodes.

The problem with this is that the fortress is unrepairable, if you don't mind that, then go for it.


Scripting the money is easy I think...isn't there a set money script?

Thanks for the help Yoda.

I managed with the beacon thing to get the builders to not build the faction fortress, and Caras Galadhon belongs to player one now. But it is not a fortress, just a building that can be destroyed by the enemy. How do I set it so that the building acts like the faction's fortress with revivable hero slots and builder recruit buttons?

You will have to create a map.ini, then just copy/paste everything from the elven fortress into your building's object (don't forget to use "addmodule" on every behavior, etc).
