I can help with most coding, but the highly advanced stuff is probably beyond me right now. :p

I agree with the multiple releases, even though I don't ever follow schedules (unless I'm at school). I mean, it's sorta like working on a book (which I'm doing; IM AT 180 of 400 PAGES WOOOOT!), you let your fingers be guided by your heart, and all thought washes away as you just write. Also, concerning time, you NEVER write when you don't feel like it or want to; you'll most likely end up screwing up the book. It *might* be the same with modding, but what I say is, don't force yourself when you know it will only end with problems. Just be careful, and keep at it when you can.
After all this time, I decided I'd start playing BFME 2 again; after all, it's one of the few games I keep coming back to.....even three-four years after it was made.....
Anyway, my computer has been upgraded; it's just a graphics card, but it's a HD Radeon 4870. How's that for gaming love? I can run Crysis on high at 60fps, maybe at highest (I haven't checked) and the rest of my computer is still actually pretty good; so I'm happy.

Anarchy is so stupid......see IM A REBEL!

Im a lover of footy now, and I can't wait to watch Jarryd Hayne the superhuman and Fuifui Moimoi the tongan bulldozer play in the Four Nations cup. WOOT Hindmarsh is gonna play for Australia now, even with a broken shoulder! Woot he's crazy.

Actually, the key to be a writer is not to write, but to be able to keep yourself from getting up even if you don't really feel like writing. You'd be surprised how important a schedule is once your work has lost its ''new glow''. Same goes for modding.

Trust me mate, I've seen too many people screw up their work because they were impatient to be finished. THat's why I said, don't rush it. Ever. That's essentially what I meant. Do you write by the way? I'm still technically a junior (fifteen years old since 30th March).
Oops I guess I wrote don't write when you don't want to.....well the thing is for me, if I rush things I usually stuff them up, which is why I said that. See, I *would* like to have my book all done at least by Christmas, and progress is likely going to pick up for me pretty soon, if my heart wills it, but the thing is, if I follow that schedule, I'm probably going to end up stuffing things up in a mad bid to hit the finish line first. Do you see what I mean?

I do see what you mean, but a schedule has nothing to do with rushing, it's just telling yourself to sit down one hour a day and write. Not telling yourself to finish your work by the end of the month. And yes, I do write. You can find some of my work in the creativity section.

Oh I'm sorry when you guys said schedule I automatically thought 'Finish by this date' sorry I misinterpreted hehe.
I'll have a look by the way, and though I want to post some of my own stuff for you guys to judge, I've got a fear of internet thieves and stuff like that, so yeah....hehe. :p *smacks self*

I'll back up Matias on this one. You have to set a minimum per day of pages or hours. Otherwise, procrastination and and a loss of momentum will result in a book that will never be finished.

I told myself "Five pages a day." The best thing I ever did.

BUT, all this writing stuff is off topic for this thread. Important advice it may be, but not important advice concerning Elven Alliance. :p

I think you missed my latest post :) I distinctly said that I thought you guys meant a date to be finished by. I also do know that if you lose momentum and ever stop writing for at least a week or more it is very difficult (nearly impossible actually) to restart progress on the book. I've actually gone against that twice by leaving it for a week and a half and coming back to it, and instead, my writing was better for a while ;)
Then again, I'm a very strange and random person, and I've got quite a list of phobias and mental diseases, so eh.

Anyways, back on topic.....umm....what was it? Lol :p
Anyways, as I said, don't try to set a release date prematurely; people will get really expectant, and if you can't meet that date, people will get peeved and start whining and stuff, unless they are true fans that know better than to say that, and only help out with the issues and stuff.
After all this time, I decided I'd start playing BFME 2 again; after all, it's one of the few games I keep coming back to.....even three-four years after it was made.....

a loss of momentum

That's actually a really good metaphor to describe the effects of not working on your stuff for a long time. I couldn't have though of it myself, but it makes sense :p
I experience it a lot...

Same here, in a way; mine shoots up and down at random.
