Another simple question !
I want to add about 4 instructions to all players at the beginning
i.e all players seeing the same stuff or singly if possible
no sound , objectives ,movies nessasary
I want a notification box for 10 sec with each instruction / Hint at game start
INSTRUCTIONS -
- Men faction - Get Frodo to mount doom to win the game !
- Isengard - Protect the Dam at all costs
- Mordor- Fing frodo to retrive the ring
ALL - Only Heroes Can go into Shelob's Lair

can i use -

*** IF ***
True.
*** THEN ***
[???]Show military briefing Localized String: 'SCRIPT:my_OWN_STUFF' for 10.00 seconds.

HOW to get the custon String ??
using a map.str ??
How to create one ??
I get an error if i just copy and modify an existing one as it crashes Worldbuilder !

PS i know about the LOTR.STR but i just want this for a map to be original INI.BIG / ENGLISH.BIG file
I think i got it to work- the MAP.STR file must not be in the folder of the map when using worldbuilder !!

Map.str files crash Worldbuilder

You can make your own using Notepad, you just have to rename the file extension. Or, as you have already done, just copy another one.

Make your map.str file on your DESKTOP, add the strings. Put it into the maps folder when (and ONLY when) you are testing in-game. Before you reopen the worldbuilder, put the map.str file back on your desktop. Annoying as hell, but its what we live with

PS: Military briefings are kinda "old skool" and outdated, with BFME II we normally use objective boxes (should be in the same area). They are more attractive and easier to see. Just preference though.
