Name: Rindar k'Valya
Age: 300
Gender: Male
Race: Elven (Pure Wood-elf)
Weapons: Bow, long knife, throwing dagger, and sword (taken from a dead Deathknelf)
Armor: Light chainmail

Alignment: Neutral

History: Rindar is an elven warrior of Arsencia. In his early years his family was killed by Deathknelve mercenaries, so he has a particular grudge against that people, hardly hesitating to kill one if he sees it. Although he may seem hard-hearted, he is polite and sometimes even kind to the members of other races, and if he becomes a friend of anyone, he will stay loyal to the end, even if it means his death.

Careful. This link is DANGEROUS. Do NOT click it. This one, however, is fine.

I had the meaning of life in my signature, but it exceeded the character limit.

  •  It's not your skill, boys. It's your will. Ooh-rah!

Looks good to me, although, you might want to specify "Elven" or you may want to go for a half-breed like I did.

I like it, it'll be good to have another new someone on board. ;) My only concern is that he doesn't have a sword of any kind and, while a bow is a worthy weapon, having just a long knife as backup doesn't seem like being too well-prepared. At least Legolas had two, and my character in this RP carries a quarterstaff as well. You can scale up your armaments a little if you wish, but one way or another, you are approved. Welcome to Arsencia. :xcahik_:
I hope I am a good enough writer that some day dwarves kill me and drink my blood for wisdom.

Hmmm... I'll add two throwing daggers. :xcahik_:

Wicked, then you're all set. Introduce yourself however you can, as long as it's not too preposterous.

By the by, as I don't recognise you from any other RPGs, I'll have to assume you're a rookie at this. Therefore, I would like to explain our position on the various contentious elements of the game. Basically, no major godmodding. As in, you can chuck in a line here or there from someone else for continuity's sake, but try to get their character right when you do, but don't get anyone killed or injured who isn't your own character. Or the bad guys, you can kill or injure them pretty much no end, that's a large portion of what we do here. :xcahik_:

Also, standard writing process leads us to "." format speech and italics for thoughts, though that is, of course, a personal touch. That's merely how must of us go about it.

If you have done this before, I apologise for wasting your time, but better safe than sorry, eh?

I'm still kind of new at this, but I did start an RP of my own over at Council of Elrond (it was Lord of the Rings-based, of course) and I think I did quite well in handicapping my character enough... here is the RP itself. Yes, I'm known under a different name there. I was thinking of doing the same sort of thing for Rindar...

Having killed the mercenary Deathknelf scum, Rindar now has a sword. However, one of his daggers broke, so he's down to one.
