Poll: Gondor Spell Poll

Which would you rather have for gondor in the mod:

Is this idea for the fort/tower fair? (1 or 2) If unfair: Will it give gondor an advantage or disadvantage? (3, 4, or 5)

So, I have found a solution to my summoned building quandry (I now summon a build plot and then that builds the building) and my question for you is this: for Gondor's level one spell would you rather have elven wood or a summonable fort/tower that would be garrisonable and would shoot arrows out of it at enemy troops. My idea is that similar to elven wood you would likely place it at choke points and it would allow you to control them or at least give you an edge while fighting there (just like what elven wood does except it is a passive leadership bonus and this tower would actually fire arrows).

Oh, and don't forget that Gondor already summons the Forbidden Pool which builds rangers, heals troops, and summons the heroes Mablung, Damrod, and Madril. Though that is a second tier, cost of 3, spell under Heal on the far left of the spell tree.

Thanks!

I'd prefer it to Elven Wood, yes ;)

Unless the tower came with a large radius of stone floorwork, similar to the grass sprouting up when you use the Elven Wood spell, to provides a small armour bonus, say 25%, not 50% that woud overpower the spell.
I will remember Rhovanion Alliance, RIP .

I'm glad to see some progress here!

I really like the idea for that lone tower thingy. It gives Gondor a boost for a while, until, like, Mordor, gets a huge horde of Orcs or a Mountain Troll so I think it is fair.

Tower, but I see a tiny OP problem with this... You see, if, somehow, you could hold them off from a certian path, you could summon towers to cut off the path as well as hamper the enemy. And it will be a Ruin Tower that can be reproduced!

He could set it so that there's a radius limit on them - Ie, can't be built too close to one another.

It could be OP if they can shoot ungarissonned and can be put next to the settlements because then people would just use it to keep people from expanding early on.

Good points, I'll try to address them as I implement it and balance the mod.

Thanks all, looks like the majority of you favor having it in the game and I agree, so I'm going to go ahead and get started on it. *goes off to code*
