Crashing in GC

Game works a dream... GFFA was quite slow loading and saving but not unbearable. What is a problem is it will randomly do the whole "swfoc has stopped working" and quits to my Desktop. I'm running Vista Home ed Premium, 2x Geforce GTX280's, 4 Gig of RAM. If it would help I can copy in the text of the event logs.

If it's v1.0 you're playing, it's usually tied to the AI or certain planets. (And I would recommend upgrading to v1.1 if that's the case.)
The logfiles wouldn't help, because it's all gibberish to us. Petroglyph would be the ones who'd be able to tell you what happened, but they don't troubleshoot mods, if they even help with FoC anymore.

Once I was selling a stock Action IV-class Frigate, and another time I think I was selling a Barracks or something. Don't remember which planets. Might have been Byss of Empress Teta for the Frigate.You can get exceptions for reselling units? That's news to me . Please make a note of it next time it happens.
I never paid them any mind because it wasn't a common occurrence.

Unfortunately it's got nothing to do with selling stuff for me. I can't work out what's causing it. It was happening only during the campaign map segment of the game. It's happened once or twice in battle now though too
Mine does the same thing, I've had my computer's video card overheat and shut down but when that happened an error popped up and then the screen changed. When the game crashes it just closes it right away and goes to my desktop. If its my computer's lack of "umph" as I call it, or if its something I need to fix I'd be happy to learn the ways of the mod.
What the shab is going on?
And how the shab do you sell anything besides buildings?
By the way, I bow to the creators of this mod.

Very, very painfully. The engine doesn't seem to allow for sales of more than one ship at a time, and outright rejects making it easy to even sell them one by one. I find that you usually have to wait until the ship info pops up before you're allowed to sell it, and you have to do that every time you want to sell another ship, even if it's the same type in the same stack. I say "usually" in a very broad sense, of course. For example, I "usually" get up when my first alarm goes off. (For those of you who don't know me, aka everyone, I can sleep through five alarms over a half hour time period without even reaching a conscious state, and most often only get up with the last alarm.)And how the shab do you sell anything besides buildings?

So would it be worth trying to get some kind of comment from Lucasarts or Petroglyph do you think? I'm not sure wether to bother, after all, they've not bothered releasing any new patches for the game even though there have been problems with high-spec machines. I had to find a patch from a real cool dutch guy to sort that one out! (Which could be interfering with the mod I guess?
